Ladies and Gentlemen....Michael Bay

Granted, I loathe his "films" and this is akin to kicking puppies...but he can't get through this without storming off stage?

What an ass he is.

Actually I really liked The Rock, sort of liked Armageddon and (to some extent) Pearl Harbor. Nothing since though.

And his behavior there was totally ridiculous. He deserves the thorough mocking he's going to get once this clip goes viral.

What does it say about a director (or, by extension, about us) when a person can become an iconic, famous director with over 20 years experience, and yet the second best thing he's ever made is a commercial for milk?

Wow. I always loved that ad. Never knew it was Bay who directed it.

He tweeted that in his excitement he skipped part of some intro and the teleprompter got lost which threw him off.

He's no Steve Jobs.

Yeah, his being flustered is no big deal really. He isn't exactly known as a public speaker.

Back to that TV. Is that one of those glasses free 3D sets in addition to being a giant subtly curved screen?

Agreed. Everything I've heard about Michael Bay, he really does seem like an unbearably egotistical ass but in that video it looks like he just got really flustered on stage and took off. Nothing I'd consider asshole behavior.

Perhaps because I, myself, have terrible stagefright I can understand that someone's nerves would get the better of them in front of a large crowd.

I know it's easy to hate on Bay's movies - and frankly, being a defender of his films is becoming harder and harder - but I still think if someone can manage to reign him in a bit and provide an editor that can streamline his films to a reasonable pace and runtime, he can still manage to make some damn entertaining films.

Come on...he didn't 'storm off stage'. He was embarrassed. The guy just isn't a trained public speaker and didn't seem very prepared.

All of this shit in the media about him having a 'meltdown' is fucking stupid.

What the video doesn't show is that he murdered a stage hand on the way out.

It got me curious about the TV which I probably would not otherwise have seen.

Bad press/Good press.

It's almost as ridiculous as the hyperbole surrounding the Tom Cruise "you're a jerk" incident. All the press made it seem like he was losing his shit and shrieking at the guy. Then the video of the actual incident showed how calm and in control Tom Cruise actually was.

I was disappointed by the gross lack of explosions. Probably why Bay walked away in disgust.

Who knew Bay's implosions were as good as his explosions?

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen....Michael Bay

I just find it funny he can't string a couple of impromptu sentences together regarding his films or "wing it" as he says he's going to do...and instead just walks off stage.

Looks typical of simple stage fright to me.

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen....Michael Bay

He needed to simply pull a "Spanish Inquisition" style "I'll come in again."

I actually felt bad for him in this video. It appears he missed his first cue and then became completely embarrassed.

No one on this board has ever experienced it though. It's impossible to have stage fright when you've got a 13 inch cock, your girlfriend is hotter than a VS supermodel, she lets you pee in her butt, and you tip 45% when dining out and ordering delivery pizza because you make 500K a year.

On a serious note regarding the video.......He died.
