"Platonish" - In a flashback episode, the gang ponders the future of the Ted, Robin and Barney love triangle. Meanwhile, Barney accepts a series of challenges from Lily and Robin, on the final season of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Nov. 11 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Bryan Cranston guest stars as Ted's former boss.

Great to have Bryan Cranston back. Would have been even cooler if they had brought back Bob Odenkirk back also.
Loved Marshall and Ted cheering for the Generals
The mom is great.

Yea... The mother is great and it's a shame they aren't using her more. But, I really liked how she was the one who set Barney straight and gave him the push to do "The Robin".

Add me to the mom fan list. I didn't find her attractive in the season finale, and she's growing on me. She looks really cute.
So she already met two of the group. Did the writers mentioned that she first met everyone before Ted?

It wouldn't be a surprise to see that is what happens. Each person in the group meets the mother at some point before the actual wedding. The last episode of the series has Ted meeting her and beginning the relationship. We got a glimpse of him proposing a year after the wedding, in a flash forward, during the Lighthouse episode.
I thought this episode was the best of the season so far. The stuff in Farhampton just seems off and too much happening in such a small space. Plus the road trip from hell with Marshall. This weeks episode allowed them to progress the mother story, showing her meeting Barney and being responsible for him creating The Robin in his playbook. The flashbacks were done well, even if they did still have Ted pining away for Robin.
So we have Marshall and Robin who have yet to be shown meeting the mother, other than Ted, I believe. It is kind of nice doing it this way in that it almost feels like each member of the group is giving the "seal/stamp of approval" to her which probably in some way helps Ted see that she's the one when they finally end up meeting.

One of the best things about the show is the way they reward viewer loyalty by having callbacks to situations that happened years before. I appreciate the continuity shown, like with The Robin.
