I went to my local Kroger, where they had already decked out the store in preparation for Christmas. I noticed they had put a nice cardboard standee in the front with recent titles -- especially Paramount titles like World War Z, G.I. Joe Retaliation and Star Trek: Into Darkness -- marked down to $6.99. (WWZ and GI Joe 2 also had the Blu-ray combo packs for the same price!) They aren't used copies either.

Here's what I found for $6.99:

Fred Meyer (Kroger Washington & Oregon) has been blowing out dvd's & blu's in dump bins for months. Nothing I've wanted, though.

I only picked up the combo pack for G.I. Joe Retaliation. No way I was paying more than $10 for it. Would've gotten Star Trek: Into Darkness if the combo pack was also $6.99.

Looked around two Krogers near my house, but neither had this display. I asked at customer service but no one knew anything about it. I'm wondering if this is just a regional promotion.

Mine was also over by the customer service desk and had the 2-disc Blu-ray of THE HUNGER GAMES as well for $6.99.

I was grocery shopping at Krogers today and they had this promo display up! YES!!!! Some employee was taking pictures of it. It appears to be Christmas related as the tag has the words "Holiday 2013" on them. There were a few movies I didn't see there on your list (ST Into Darkness, Magic Mike) but this store had Flight on Blu and Elf on dvd. I was happy to pick up GI Joe, World War Z and Hunger Games on Blu. BTW, this display was near the frozen food cases near the medicine and shampoo stuff. Hopefully they will restock this display with other 6.99 Blu titles. I should also mention that some of the dvd's were $14.99 - $19.99 but I can't remember the titles.
