Hello, I'm in the market to buy a HDTV Tv, I'm looking for something 53 inches or larger. Does anyone know where to get the best deal? Also, if you've done research yourself, which one would you recommend?

It's expensive, but the Pioneer 510HD is 53" and an excellent set. It really depends on what you're going to watch. If only DVD or HDTV, there are several less expensive choices. But if you watch broadcast, cable, or satellite too, the Pioneer is the best I've seen.

By the way, it's HDTV-ready. You still need an HDTV tuner. Depending on what your needs are (you should state them here) your best choices can be presented and where to buy them.

As a proud new owner of the 610-HD, I'll also recommend the Pioneer Elites. Yes, they're pricey, but imo worth every penny. The picture is magnificent. And, the internal line doubler is so good that, unlike the Mits and Toshibas, you don't really need a progressive scan dv player. I did a lot of online research and found avsforum and hometheaterforum had a lot of helpful info. The pioneerelectronics website is worlds better than, say, Sony's at giving substantial product info. When it came time to buy, visited all the local b&m's and found the one who'd give me the best deal, which turned out less than I could've gotten it online. BTW if you research the elites: the 510, 610, and 710 differ only in screen size (53", 58", 64"). Happy hunting.

Where and how much? The place in Burlingame? Just curious. 510HD - $4700 delivered online.

I was able to check out the Pioneer Elites at a few online sites and the look great. But a television is something I'd have to see in person before purchasing. I'm gonna look for them in my local Circuit city and Best buy locations.

Also, I'm interested in an RCA Projection HDTV. It's the "RCA 52" MultiMedia Projection Television MM52110". I've seen it in person and it's a Beauty. It's also featured on 800.com. Has anyone heard of it or know if it's a good buy overall? it's about $2499.95 with a lot of cool features.

I have the often suggested Toshiba TW80X41 and I love it!

Uh, it may be different in Brooklyn, but here in California I wouldn't expect to find many (any) Elites at CC or Best Buy. The pioneerelectronics website has a dealer locator that's product line sensitive.
