As someone who wants more adult sitcoms I cant say Im disappointed that their new TGIF ABC 90s style line up is failling.

Thoughts?

It couldn't be anymore grim than your spelling and punctuation skills.

Regardless, this isn't the 90s anymore. There is a ton more competition on basic and premium cable these days.

Not surprising, NBC did everything possible for over a decade to drive family viewers away from their network. Rome wasn't built in a day and it takes time to find a different audience than the one you've been cultivating for years.

Cant see why theres the need to bust balls.

I will concede to never being the best speller (Im sorry if my disability is so cumbersome for you) but Ive also recently gone from a phone with a physical keypad to a virtual one...needless to say its been tricky.

I suppose they never catered to the family crowd however I never thought of it as 'driving them away' since they never seemed to carry anything out right obscene...like much of the programming on Fox for example.

Parks and Rec is on at 8 and it's the least family friendly show in that block.

I don't think any of them are traditional "family" sitcoms, they're more akin to Modern Family in that they aren't "family" shows but they are about families, unlike say The Middle and Last Man Standing which are family sitcoms.

But that's imo. It's also why ABCs line-up never made sense to me with 3 "family shows" with Modern Family as their anchor. It made more sense to have a family show at 8 and 830, then more adult ones at 9 (Modern) and 9:30 (Happy Endings)

They should have picked up The Office spin-off The Farm.
