LG BP530 3D Blu-Ray Player - Region Free?
Ok, I picked up this model during deployment at the NEX at Guam Naval Base since I needed a cheap replacement player - partly based on the notes I saw on the amazon page:
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics...words=lg+bp530
However, now that I've finally gotten home, I've tried a couple of my Region B Blu-Ray discs (Quatermass and the Pit, Devils Backbone from UK Del Toro collection) and it doesn't play them as I would have expected.
Does anyone know if there is a remote code or another hack I can use to make this region free? Is it possibly related to me not having plugged it in to update firmware since the time of purchase at the end of June?
Not the end of the world if this doesn't work since I know my other player is still region free capable - this one is smaller, quieter and I'm pretty sure I won't have issues with other Region A playback issues that I've had with my original sherwood player as well.
Thanks.
