seems like SP has always split their seasons into two halves, one in the spring, one in the fall.
Was there a batch of new episodes in the spring? I feel like it's been a year since I've seen a new episode.

When Matt & Trey renewed their contract with Comedy Central through Season 20 part of their agreement was a shortened season with no mid-year breaks so they can plow through their crazy schedule all at once instead of twice a year.

Wonder if we can expect this season to suck as much as the last one?
Don't even know if I'll bother watching.

It's been almost a year. The last episode was "Obama Wins!".

It wasn't that bad. I think the issue they had last year was they were more focused on The Book of Mormon but still had to do new episodes of South Park too and they gave more attention to The Book of Mormon.

All the Baldwin stuff was awesome: "If you're ever in Los Angeles Jennifer Love Hewitt makes a cock meat sandwich that'll beat those queers etc." was hysterical.

Seemed a little scattershot; some good ideas but nothing really jelled for me. Cartman on the phone was a little funny, Baldwin was a little funny, but no real big laughs for me. Hope next week is better.

I thought it was a little weak for having almost a year off. Not terrible, but not that good. If I was trying to get someone into South Park I would definitely not use this episode.

Loved the name of his show: "Free Pass with Alec Baldwin". I like Baldwin and he was great on 30 Rock, but that is so true. If someone else would've spewed the crap he has, Hollywood would forever label him a hateful bigot. But since he's so active on their political "team", they kind of squirm and say it's just "Alec being Alec." South Park is always good about pointing out hypocrisy like that (across the spectrum, too).
As for the rest of the episode...I got some laughs. Not one of their better ones, though.

Like some prior episodes, this had some really scathing political commentary running below the surface. South Park is the only comedy on television that would even attempt something like this episode. If the political commentary was missed, I could see how one might think this was a poor episode.
