"Sunshine Girl" by HERMAN'S HERMITS
A true lost classic - and it wasn't even a big chart hit (it peaked at #101 - bubbled under, I guess). But what a great song!
"Sunshine Girl" by Herman's Hermits, July 1968. Check the song out yourselves, and tell me it's not a terrific song - a true lost classic.

It might help if you included the song:

The song is cute, but there are dozens of lesser known Kinks and Small Faces songs from the mid to late '60s that are better

What is the purpose of picking some random not-quite-a-hit song and create a thread about it? It's not even close to being a classic. For it to be lost, it must have been found first, which isn't the case.
Don't make fetch happen.

If it's found by me, maybe it won't stay "lost." Maybe fellow 60s music enthusiasts can "discover" it due to me, like it, and add it to their repertoire of songs?
This is my purpose of this thread. To help, as I sometimes appreciate the help others give to this site. I've gotten to "discover" songs (or other things) due to someone else's contributions.

Doesn't remind me of the kinks or small faces so doesn't really make much sense to compare it to them.
They were a decent band but overly wholesome and lame. Blaze I think was their best album....but yeah most of the songs on nuggets 1 and 2 boxsets I would describe as lost sixties classics. This is kind of blah to me.

Would be nice if the OP would delve into the catalogs of bands like The Creation or The Pretty Things, rather than dredge up this sort of mediocrity.

The Association, The Buckinghams, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, and the last two albums by the New Colony Six might be up your alley if you like '60s mediocrity.

Scoff all you like, but Along Comes Mary by The Association is a kick-ass song, no matter how you slice it!
