Walt's kind of a given, isn't he? His character has a built-in expiration date.

I think all four major characters are doomed, Walt, Jesse, Skyler, and Hank.

Re: Breaking Bad, Season 5B: Who will die?

I can see a Godfather III ending where Walt lives but in order to do so he has to kill Jesse, Hank and even Skyler. Walt Jr. might not die but Walt still 'loses' him. It'll be the ironic bookend as Walt only did all this for his family. In the end he'll have all the money but no family.

I think the only safe assumption is that this will be awesome.

Pretty much everybody except Saul, Walt "survives" the final attack, only to die from the cancer

It'll end like Six Feet Under, but instead of going far into the future it goes across the next few weeks where they're all systematically hunted down.

Oh and Hank is a goner.

Did Gomez already bite it? If not he'll be the first to go.

Nahh.

I can imagine a scenario where everyone else is dead and he gets the news 'LOL, we lied. You're cured'.

Damn, that would be insane. Everyone dead from his wake and he gets the news that his cancer has been completely cured.

If everyone does die at the end, that would be devastating but satisfying at the same time.

I have no idea who will bite it but I have to say that this show has been one of the most consistent in quality for every season. I don't remember many shows where there wasn't at least one season that I did not care for. This show is up there with Six Feet Under for me.

Sounds like a Twilight Zone ending.

Skyler, Walt Jr and the baby. That would be the ultimate hell for Walt. Kind of like Vic Mackey becoming a paper pusher in The Shield finale.

Everyone but Walt.

I've also thought of this ending ala The Shield.

^ thought the same thing. Everyone around him dies and he is left to wither away with cancer and on the run with noone left.

Maybe Marie survives and ends up with Holly whose first words are "what's for breakfast?"

This is what I'm thinking will happen too except I'm not sure if Walt will be the one to have taken out Skyler, Hank, Jesse, and whomever else. I think someone else will have gotten to them as revenge for someone he's taken out in the past (Tuco, Gus, Mike) or some rival in the drug trade. Hence why he's got the big ass machine gun in his trunk, it appears he's out for revenge. It's obvious from the season five opener Live Free or Die in the scene at the beginning with Walt at the Denny's that he's on his own. I'm guessing either his family and friends have been killed off or are in hiding/want nothing to do with him. Walt may end up free and clear of any of the drug dealing charges and cancer but will probably end up losing everything that he cared for.

I'd like to see Walt get some redemption from a heroic death.

Re: Breaking Bad, Season 5B: Who will die?

I've been rewatching the series and Walt does not deserve a heroes death. He was a dick to everyone from episode 1. Everything that has gone wrong this far has been from his doing.

There's only two outcomes IMO. Either Walt dies or everyone around him does.

It's funny you say that, because Six Feet Under is a show where I have to write off almost two complete seasons for me to remember it fondly.

There are only 2 shows to me that never dropped in quality through their entire run - Breaking Bad (so far) and The Shield. All of the other popular shows like Sopranos & the Wire all had noticeable drops in some seasons.

This.

Just finished marathoning the show again. Walt is not an anti-hero, he's the bad guy of the show. The "good" guy is Jesse, I would love for him to have a good ending.

Oh and I still hate the way Hank discovers about Walt.

Re: Breaking Bad, Season 5B: Who will die?

I'm marathoning and 3/4 through season 2 and it's ridiculous how Walt just turns everyone who offers help away. He could have had a high paying job, insurance for the cancer, etc. but he was too proud leading to the Walt we got. Everything is his doing.

Jessie isn't innocent, at the end of the day he is still a drug addict and dealer, but he has a soul unlike Walt. He always tries to do the right thing but Walt forces his hand. He certainly doesn't deserve to walk off into the sunset, but he deserves a better end than Walt.
