My girl got me a GE DVD player for Xmas.
It's the $150 one at Wal-mart.. has anyone had any experiences with this model?

Thanks!

is it the model 1105p? I got a unit for a second player in the bedroom and it is ok. it does play thru the problems but it does provide a jerky picture at times. not bad for a second player. I would not keep it for $150-since i paid $89 for a refurb the problems are acceptable for more i do not think so. try a sony or toshiba.

I agree with the above post....I would exchange this player and pay a little more for a Sony, Pioneer........I myself would stay away from Toshiba at this point due to all of the complaints regarding outdated firmware issues...unless of course you may be going for one of Toshiba's progressive scan players but these are somewhat high in price compared to what you may be looking for...
