Cut him some slack. It's odd not seeing any WiiU specific game threads on the main page. Gotta take what you can get, I guess.

I'll be honest, you couldn't pay me to watch the movie let alone play the game... and no way in hell I'd pay for this game.

I would only play this if they included the original Colecovision game with it as well.

In fairness you're right, never played a game by them. It actually doesn't look horrible but the Smurfs as a whole can suck a bag of dicks... And I grew up with those annoying bastards constantly on morning cartoons. Maybe if this was Snorks I'd be interested

Re: The Smurfs 2 (360, PS3, Wii, Wii U)

I just took a look at a list of all of Way Forward's games, and while there are some that are pretty good (A Boy and His Blob, Double Dragon Neon...and I'm currently playing Silent Hill Book of Memories and think it's okay), there's also a lot of forgettable licensed games for the DS in there. I'm just wondering why you think this developer is such a guarantee of quality -- unless you were totally blown away by iCarley: Groovy Foodie! on the DS last year.

Centipede Infestation (3DS) was fucking awful. Bloodrayne Betrayal was mediocre and frustration-inducing. They might have made some solid downloadable titles, but it's not like we're talking about Bethesda, Blizzard or Naughty Dog here.

The Smurfs are a cherished institution. In terms of licened games, I think we're looking at the Goldeneye of this generation.
