I wonder how many ridiculous red herrings are thrown out at the viewers this season. My guess is at least ten, within the first episode.

I really hated the S1 story and ignored S2. If this is more or less a "fresh start" moment, I'm tempted to try again, given how much I liked everything *but* the arc.

It's a completely new story arc. The Rosie Larsen mystery is completely done. Holder and Linden are pretty much the only returning characters from seasons 1 and 2.

I remember that exchange because it was hilariously bad. I might be tempted to watch this to see if they have improved over season 1.

I think I forgot to set the DVR. I think I canceled the season pass in S2.

Anyways, I stopped watching earlier in S2, came back for the S2 "series" finale, just for kicks. And now, because is a new case and I really like Holder.

So I will probably catch it in On Demand.

I actually liked the first two seasons. Tonight was a good start to the new season. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

I have no complaints with these episodes. I just hope they don't get sucked down the "red herring" trap of the Rosie Larsen case.

I thought it was a good 2 hours. I think the new case with the teen runaways/prostitute murders is pretty interesting. I liked how it tied in with the subplot about the death row inmate.

Holder had some funny lines too. And wow, Jewel Staite from Stargate Atlantis is his girlfriend.

There were a few notable actors besides Sarsgaard and Staite. Aaron Douglas from Battlestar Galactica and Hugh Dillon from Flashpoint.

I was a little confused when Sarah went to visit Elias Koteas' character. Obviously they worked together in the past. Then the wife came out to her car and threatened her. Leads me to think that Sarah and him had some kind of fling?

The mass graveyard in the end was a cool way to end it.

Peter Sarsgaard looks great as the, apparently, bad guy.

The show was almost perfect. You can nitpick, of course, but I fell in love again.

Photography, and direction in general, were top notch in the first episode. One of the best HD I've seen in a long time, specially in AMC.

Are there any confirmations about they solving this case, this season?

It's been confirmed that the mystery will be solved this season.

The murder mystery, that is. The mystery of how Linden could afford such a house on minimum wage will be a multi-season arc.

Holder and GF seemed like a good fit which means that she'll a) die or b) leave because Holder pulls a "Linden" and becomes too absorbed with work.
