Denon 3300 - Switching Inputs from Remote?

Anyone with a 3300? I've been trying to figure out if you can switch inputs from the remote (like if you finish a DVD and then want to watch the VCR or listen to a CD). It automatically switches to a playing source when you turn on the 3300, but the only way I can switch later is the via the main unit!

I have the 3200 and you switch inputs by hitting the numbers- so 2 is phono, 3 cd, 4 tuner,5 dvd/vdp,6 tv/dbs,7 dat/tape mon, 9 vcr-1, 10 vcr-2/v.aux. i hope this helps.

I see the labels on the numbers, but nothing happens! I've tried every combination of the slide switches and the only thing that comes close is the multi-input. It shows the new source for a second (but does not switch) and then keeps on playing the original source!
