I'm not going to watch this live. I'll find out who wins first. I don't want to waste two hours of my life watching Phil hand team thunder**** one million dollars.

Rooting for the brothers and roller derby moms. I'm okay with the country gals winning. Hopefully the newlyweds will not win.

Anthony and Bates will probably win it, but I would be cool with Caroline and Jen winning too. Would like to see some hot chicks win a season for a change. The last 2 hot chicks that came closest to winning were Dustin and Kandice from a few seasons ago.

Agree with this. The mewlyweds are just too irritating. And I just get a "marriage for reasons other than wanting to be married to each other" vibe with them.

I think this poll is assuming a bit much of the viewers. Like, we would know their names.

He made this last episode nearly unwatchable for me. He just has to be snide and condescending at every opportunity. Thank god hockey guys won.

By the end it was Bates and Anthony or bust for me. Mona and Beth were just too bad at the race to root for.

It certainly was "what might have been" for Connor and Dave, who were the strongest team in the race. I assume we'll be seeing them again though.

I thought Ben's Chili Bowl was somehow going to get a major plug on national TV for a few minutes there!

They have only had 2 returning player seasons in 12 years. I don't think anyone coming back is a a safe bet let alone a team where 1 of the people is a high risk for injury cause of age.

Yay! I was worried that a mental task would trip the hockey guys up but they came through.

We missed out on Chuck meeting Obama!

No crappy cabbies!

That waiting challenge, where they had to carry trays down all of those stairs, looked fucking brutal.

Looked like B&A blew out the other teams. Max and Katie kind of got screwed on the spy challenge. Sort of surprised that they had two "luck of the draw" style challenges on the final leg... the spies, and then finding the globes. Both of those rely more on random chance than physical or mental skill.

Usually, on the final leg, they have some kind of challenge that involves climbing a building or jumping off of something, but it looks like they did that in Berlin already.

I'm just happy the douchebags on youtube didn't win. Congrats to the brothers, they were entertaining.

I wonder if Max could have told us a few more times how much he doesn't like Obama, but he respects the office of the President. Well aren't you the big man, Max, to lower yourself to meet Obama! Too bad it didn't happen.

to Bates & Anthony! I wish I could have gone to their viewing party at Bates' bar but it was packed to the gills. They have already said they would be up for doing it again so I'm sure they will be on the next All Stars edition whenever that happens.

If Max & Katie had won I might have shot my television Elvis style. Maybe Max can go read up on his Ronald Reagan history.

So did I.

Picked pretty standard DC places as even a bad cabbie would easily know all of those places.

Perhaps that was an intentional "equalizer" to prevent a team from losing due to cab problems.

Does anybody know Max's political affiliation? I don't think it was mentioned.

I probably would have said "Obama....meh," in his position.

The fact they all seemed to think they would actually be meeting the President had me rolling. Even if he was willing AND had the time, the sheer logistics is a race setting probably couldn't be worked out. Hell, it was a big deal when The Biggest Loser got Michelle Obama on the show and I'm sure that was planned out to a tee AND it tied in with her own anti-obesity initiatives.

When it was mentioned that they were having a picture taken with the President, all I could think about is my picture with a cardboard cutout of Ronald Reagan on a pier in California back in the 80's.

Gave me a good laugh when it turned out to be similar.

I guess Max would have preferred my cardboard cutout of Reagan.

Yeah, I admit I was only rooting for Max and Katie because of the DVDTalk game, but they did turn out to be a pretty strong team. We all figured Katie was smart because of her degree at a relatively young age but she did some good in-game thinking besides. I'm a bit disappointed that they ended up losing on the random spy challenge, and there were also two bunch-up points that leveled the playing field. Ah well.

Re: The Amazing Race 22 -- 2 Hour Season Finale -- "Beacon of Hope" -- 5/05/13

The Derby moms were lucky to have gotten as far as they did considering how badly they ran the race. They were only lucky on legs where another team ran worse than they did. Every chance they had to shoot themselves in the foot, they did.

I would have loved to see them attempt to enter the White House and end up being interrogated by the Secret Service and Homeland Security.
