Unofficial Backstreet Boys discussion thread incl "Fave BSB Album?" poll

Please, no bashing of the group members or their fans. Thanks.

A.J., Brian, Howie, Kevin, and Nick just celebrated their 20th anniversary in the music business not long ago. I'm already looking forward to the new album; what's your best memories about these guys?

Why is it so unreasonable to ask people to show respect? Even if you don't like their music, a group sticking around for 20 years shows a great deal of talent and dedication.

To answer your question, I think Millennium is their best album to date.

I like all their albums, though there's a few songs on each one that rub me the wrong way. Howie even said "Get Yourself a Bad Boy" was the one track the whole group couldn't stand anymore.

I'm assuming with over 200 posts, you've been around this board. While I don't inhabit every different forum around here, with what I've seen in Other, Sports, Music, and even TV, that will pretty much never happen. Maybe where you've been, it's different.

That and I just posted a thought that made me laugh.

It's certainly not unreasonable to ask it. But around here, it's pretty unreasonable to expect it, particularly on a topic upon which everyone will NOT see eye to eye.

Sorry, out of all the responses, mine seemed the most unreasonable.

re: Unofficial Backstreet Boys discussion thread incl "Fave BSB Album?" poll

I don't bash boy bands just because I'm not their target audience. BSB had a couple of catchy tunes:

Quit Playing Games
As Long as You Love Me
I Want it That Way
Larger Than Life

I don't own any albums, though. Had no idea they were still together.

Actually, I first signed up in 2004, and completely forgot about it until a few months ago.

I think you also started the same thread over on blu-ray.com and i think you've got the same lukewarm reception...

While yes, there MAY be a few fans of BSB on here, they're not enough to fully have a good conversation of back and forth and discussions that I'm sure you're looking for...

Tell that to those who traveled from the other side of the pond to attend their Hollywood Walk ceremony recently, or the tons of folks who have gone on the BSB cruises. The band's still phenomenally popular.

BSB were okay, I guess, but I was always more of a Dudez A Plenti fan, myself.

You're not getting it...

Wasn't questioning the bands popularity in the world, i was questioning it in HERE!

Just saying you won't get the kinds of discussions you're looking for on HERE.

This and other threads you opened have got me wondering, are you interested in HO scale model trains and crabmeat?

I had a toy train when I was a kid, but I don't think I've ever eaten crab.

It always bugged me that Conan said you couldn't do anything with A. They could have been Dudez Uh Plenti.

To add to this discussion, I was always surprised that N Sync ended up the bigger act. When they started they seemed like a Backstreet knockoff.
