It wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't keep cutting away to Aisha Tyler every two or three minutes to explain to her audience what was going on.

I love how Wo Fat is the most wanted man in Hawaii and he can be in the middle of a murder crime scene without disguising his face and nobody but McGarrett recognizes him.
And at the audience ooooohing and ahhhing over the 3D printer.

this show has gotten totally ridiculously over the top. To the point that it's close to not being watchable anymore
it's doing what csi miami did but it's getting to the point of no return faster than csi miami did

As long as it is fun and entertaining, I don't care if Hawaii Five-O is a logical, tightly-written series. I like the description I read here near the beginning of its run - science fiction without the high technology trappings. Things can go too far, but as the entire premise - a tiny law enforcement team that can break the law in major ways to get things done - is, I hope, goofy to begin with. I certainly don't want to see four such heroes tearing around my city in real life!

I know very little about 3D printers. I've only seen a few videos online showing what they can do so I have this question for you guys.
Could you even print something that would retain the minute detail of a printing plate? Also in her demonstration it seemed to be the fastest 3D printer on the planet. It was so bad that it seemed more like a replicator from the USS Enterprise.
If Wo Fat is now Two Face does that make MaGarrett Batman?

So how long was that guys body supposed to be in the ground? It was nice that they were able to dig it out with a stick. And the dude remembered "exactly" where it was.
This one was tough to watch.

I thoroughly enjoy Hawaii Five-0 for the weekly escape that it is, but this was completely horrible. Why in the world would they waste an episode that includes all major cast members AND includes a major continual plot point in such an annoying storytelling device? I especially hated how they kept cutting away during any point of actual emotion and intrigue and just had Savannah tell us what happened instead of showing us. Writing 101 tells you not to do that.
This would have been ok had it not been from Savannah and her show's viewpoint. Instead, it should have been a regular Five-0 episode where Savannah tags along for her show, we could have seen all the important scenes, and they could have watched a few minutes of her show at the end.
That was IMO the worst Five-O ever.
(Though LOL at Max dressing up for Savannah. I kept thinking when they interviewed Kono about her technical abilities, she was going to say, "Yeah, I'm trained as a martial artist, and for all our crime-solving, I use Windows 8.")

Yeah, this episode was a new low for the show, but even worse than the stupid talk show framing device was the bitch-ass way they took out Wo Fat.
So he's hovering over the 5-0 gang in a helicopter because...he can? and gets taken down by small arms fire? and gets maimed in a fiery crash?
For a character (and actor...I love Dacascos) we've invested so much time in, he sure went out in an abrupt and totally non-sensical way.

They had me when Max was like "I went to ASU to learn how to be a medical examiner, but also because it was a great party school."
LOL as a ASU alum, that school has been trying to ditch the party school image ever since I went there. And I'm trying to remember them teaching courses on forensics back then. Maybe they are now, but not when Max would have gone there.

And you can be sure that none of Danny's shots hit the copter.

I didn't find this episode any dumber than what they give us each week. That said, I enjoyed it because the talk show angle made it different.

Not that it matters Dept: but did they mention whether Wo Fat had the plates? (Did the other [now dead] guy have them?)
