Not going to do weekly threads for season 2. Not alot of discussion here during season 1. I thought season 1 got better as the weeks went by. It actually got really funny towards the end.

Just finished the 1st episode.
It was just alright. A little light on laughs. Sometimes the humor on this show can be very dry.
Selina isn't the most likeable character, but she has her moments.
Selina to Furlong...."I fluffed them, now you go fuck 'em"
at Gary trying to clean up the lipstick stain on the Presidential seal.
and Ughhh, I cannot stand Jonah, he is such a douche.
I like Amy, but I wish they would loosen her up a bit. I guess it's part of her schtick, but it's kind of annoying that's she's always looking at her cell phone and only half paying attention to what Selina is saying. I liked how her sister gave her shit for being who she is and that she's single.
And damn, Gary Cole looked fucking old in this episode. Age is finally catching up with him.

I'm a huge fan of The Thick of It, and thought that the first season of Veep was enjoyable, but not up to par (especially surprising as the last season of The Thick of It, done mainly without creator Armando Ianucci because he was busy doing Veep, was still better than the first season of Veep). However, by the end it was solid enough that I came back for season two, and I'm glad I did. They seem more comfortable in their own skin now, and some of the jokes are just stellar. I loved the whole thing about her discussing Israel in front of a roasting pig.

This show is really hitting its stride.
I can never forgot the line from last season: "Like my pawpaw said, its always darkest before the storm.." Gets me every time

I watched the first ep last night and totally don't remember enough plot details from the first season. I don't think there was a 'previously on..' which would have helped.

There's really nothing that pressing from the last season. Only thing I can think of is that the bald representative hates Dan for those dealings they did last season.

Watched the 2nd episode yesterday. The pig roast was great; the camera shot of her in front of the rotating pig was a total ripoff of Palin's Turkeygate, but hilarious nonetheless.
