Corinne just can't help but blow up her own plans.
If you have a secret alliance of six and Phillip wants to split his alliance's votes, you keep your plans secret and act like you are going along with them. You then throw all of your votes at Phillip rather than trying to change their gameplan by bringing in extra people like Dawn.

I cannot remember a contestant so thoroughly sabotaging herself as Corrine did tonight, topped by her stuborn refusal to split the vote when it meant she could have then used her five votes to take Philip out.

I hope there was something else going on that we didn't see. Otherwise, you're right ... that made no sense whatsoever. Upon hearing Phillip's plan to split the vote, she could've just went along with it, told her six the plan, and they vote out whoever they want. It sounded like she was focused on keeping that new alliance of six a secret for another few days. But if you have 6 to 5 numbers, who cares?

Awwww...."Her Gay" wasn't able to put on a giant purple cape and rescue her? (Please note sarcasm)
I am SO happy she got blindsided. That was pretty awesome.
Kudos to Cochran winning a challenge!!

Pretty lame challenge again.
I'm pretty much over Phillip and just fast forward through his scenes. It's guys like him that usually make me stop watching a season. Not at all entertaining to me. But that's what Survivor has become...they keep an annoying guy around who can't win a final vote, and the producers love it because they get a character to shove down our throats week after week.
Good riddance to Corrine though...it is sort of funny that bitches seem to get voted out while asshole men are kept around to go against in a final vote.

I wonder what Michael (right name?.. he's kind of forgettable) thinks about Corinne constantly referring to him as 'her gay.' I guess it didn't matter who he is as a person as long as he's gay... Don't misunderstand; he seems nice.. just a weird way of identifying someone and deciding that you just luvvvvvv them.

Yep, Corinne dug her own grave tonight.
That and she and Malcolm just assumed Erik was with them, when in fact, he had no idea whose side he was on.

The only thing I can think of is maybe she was worried about the next vote? If she had an alliance of 5 after they take Phillip (or whoever) out, maybe she was worried she would piss off the the remaining 6 and they would be down 5-6 in the next vote?

That was one of the worst strategic performances of all-time.
Why not tell Philip that you're going along with the split vote? That would have made her six votes enough to take out anyone they wanted, because the voting would have been 6-4-2 or 6-3-3.
If Corinne really wanted to find a seventh vote, why go for Dawn? Dawn was one of the worst possible choices. How about Sheri or Brenda?
If Corinne decided that it had to to be Dawn for the seventh vote, then why would you tell her your plan to get rid of Philip next? The whole reason for wanting to get rid of Sheri was so that they'd have numbers after this vote. You only needed Dawn for this vote. If you decide later that you want her along later, then tell her the plan three days from now.
From a viewing standpoint, it is too bad that the foreshadowing made it so incredibly obvious that Corinne was going home. It ruined what could have been an even more entertaining episode.

Re: Survivor: Caramoan -- "Blindside Time" -- 4/03/2013
I think the problem is the exact opposite. Far too often they try to use a lot of editing tricks to push people in the direction that some decoy is a 2nd option when it's obvious who is going. The thing is reality tv has been around far too long now for any goofy tricks to work on most people anymore. Sometimes it's just better like this episode to give people the most entertaining story you can in 40 minutes.

You have to give Malcolm props for trying a strategy and getting someone else (Corrinne) to do his dirty work. When it backfired, Malcolm stayed safe.
Andrea and Cochran's problem is that Phillip is on their side, and he's libel to mess things up for them, or at the very least turn on Andrea the moment he finds she's calling the shots instead of him. I do think Cochran is safe because of the goobery persona he portrays.

That was actually one of my favorite SURVIVOR episodes in a while - from Cochran winning a challenge (hard not to like the guy) to Corrine's plan totally backfiring, I thought it was great.
