What the Beach Boys really sounded like - And other shredding videos

Apparently this is what they were doing behind the lip sync

Hmm...if you're lip-syncing, I get the half-mumbled singing and not bothering to tune the guitar and play the correct chords--but the WAY off-key singing is kind of strange.

It sounds like someone dubbed the audio.

Did you see Dennis cracking up at Mike around 1:02? I know he was high most of the time but it looks like they did this on purpose as a goof. Question is how they could have mic'd it so the actual song didn't bleed in.

I don't know what that would prove since it's a fake. Very funny, though.

Edit: Then again it could be real, but they were obviously messing around.

Just go with it. It's more fun pretending it's real.

Re: What the Beach Boys really sounded like

Even if it were real it's not like it proves they were no-talents that were saved by studio technology. There was not technology in that day that could turn that into Pet Sounds. Today on the other hand....

Also, how anyone could think that wasn't a joke is beyond me.

They even do Rammstein. The breathing fire bit sounds funny, because it's some dude going "bwoosh!"

My fave real "what they really sound like" has always been Linda McCartney's mic...

Knowing Linda's current state that was an unfortunate comment.
