The All-Star Celebrity Apprentice Thread -- Season 6 -- Sundays (NBC)
IN THE SEASON PREMIERE, DONALD TRUMP RETURNS TO THE BOARDROOM WITH ALL-STAR CELEBRITIES FROM THE PAST FIVE SEASONS Donald Trump tasks 14 returning celebrities to create and sell meatballs in a fundraising competition for charity. One Project Manager takes an unorthodox approach to the task and risks mission failure, while the other team immediately deals with an internal power struggle. Fundraising on both teams sets a new record for a first task, but only one Project Manager will take it all. In the end, one returning All-Star will hear Trump's feared words: "You're fired!" Special guests include Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan, Paul Teutul Sr., Amy Grant, Gilbert Gottfried, Valerie Bertinelli and Nikki Taylor. Boardroom advisors: Ivanka Trump and Piers Morgan.

I've watched this show in the past despite my total disdain for the central figure, but it's getting really hard to justify even indirectly supporting anything that son of an orangutan does.

Last season was my first (because of Carolla) but since my Sunday viewing plate is basically non-existent(Walking Dead non-withstanding) I guess I'll tune in again this year.

I'm hoping for an early elimination for Penn followed by a horrific explosion that kills the remaining show participants.

I love that Trump thinks his shitty little title is important. If I were Brett, you're damned right I would have gone on the show again. It's an opportunity to raise money for a charity I care about. Do you think Brett is going to lose one minute of sleep because he didn't become a two-time Apprentice? Do you think he feels like he was risking anything at all? Trump is an ego-maniacal fool, but it's seldom been more on display than tonight.

Heads up TiVo people. My existing "Celebrity Apprentice" season pass did not pick up the new episode. You have to set up a new season pass for "All Star Celebrity Apprentice."
The premier is re-airing a few times though.

"I have to rely on credibility because without credibility this show wouldn't be so successful" Did he seriously say that?
Props to Brande for speaking the truth and saying she didn't bring Omarosa back because she knew there was no way in hell Trump was firing her. She was also smart enough to bring Brett back who Trump was looking to get for some reason. Apparently Brett should have retired a "champion" and not had the nerve to try and bring more awareness and money to a charity he clearly seems to care about.
I'm in until the Busey and Rodman trainwrecks happen.... and that is why the show is so successful.

Hate for Omarosa continues.
You want to silence her? Tell her Michael Clarke Duncan made a hell of a choice in how to get away from her.

I predict that Trace Atkins will win the Celebrity Apprentice. Wait and see.
Trump placed Atkins at the head of one team, and Brett as head of the other team. Then he got rid of Brett (a rival musician). Trump's reason for getting rid of Brett was very lame...
Don't be surprised if several team competitions are music based. At least this may be the case in the final competition.
There is no way he will get rid of Atkins...

Atkins doesn't kiss Trump's ass so he won't be winning.
Morgan just looks sad on here pandering to Trump and baiting Omarosa. We're supposed to take him seriously on CNN when he's on this show having cat fights and lapping up whatever shit Trump throws out?
Still love Lil Jon. He won't win but he's the most creative person on there.

Finally caught the reair and wirefan hit it on the head:
For Trump to fire someone just because he doesn't understand why they would want to raise more money & awareness for their charity is absurd. Just shows you what a rich out of touch douchebag he is. I felt sorry for Brett. He was thrown under the bus.
Despite Brande raising the most, she was fucking clueless and should have been gone.
I believe 100% that Omarosa knew the exact numbers down to the penny. She was playing the game and if called back to the board room she would have used them to her advantage.

(I've not been watching this. The gf, who used to watch the show, is pissed at Trump over the birther stuff so she won't watch it anymore. And as far as I'm concerned, there's better stuff to watch on Sunday nights.)

I think I'm going to just follow the show through this thread now that I know Piers is back on this show, can't stomach him anymore.

Piers was simply an advisor on this episode. He'll probably be back but supposedly they'll be rotating the chair with Arsenio, Joan Rivers, and John Rich.

I am so torn about Piers. I love the fact he is treating Omarosa like shit, but he was so focused on her it was really a bit excessive. She is truly the biggest snake on reality tv. If they don't get her fired soon, they are really stupid.

Terrible move by Dee to go with the cardboard cutout concept. That was just flat out lame and he deserved to go.

Yeah, as soon as Dee told them his idea I knew it was Omarosa's to lose. And somehow the final product managed to look worse than I had been imagining. Seriously, I could probably throw together something like that over a weekend and I'm far from an expert on fabrication. I'm still baffled that none of them made a connection between the magic trick and Harry Potter.
Omarosa's display wasn't perfect but at least it was something. Their Spider-Man section was really weak conceptually and I think they should have went with a general Marvel theme... I'm pretty sure they could have picked up some Wolverine claws or Hulk hands in the Marvel shop.

Wow, Dee's concept was horrid. Cardboard standees? I'm with Penn, garbage idea. Made the boardroom infinitely less interesting because Dee deserved to go, and Trump fired the right person this time.
I wonder how all that works. Sony has the Spidey license but Universal uses him at the theme park? 20th Century Fox has X-men and Wolverine, and Disney, the Avengers, could they use them?

I was just really interested in Trump's plane. I wish they would have talked more about it.
