I can't wait to see how the writers resolve that cliffhanger.

I'm glad they resolved the shooting quick, I was a little afraid Shawn would be chasing Wojo for the entire season.

Funny bit with Shawn & Gus sitting on a land mine and directing the bomb disposal robot to bring them the nachos.

Not sure if I like the slow motion lead-ins to Shawn's power of perception.

I'm just glad it is back. Are you with me, Psych-O's?

Oh, and it was a great ep, with some really nice and believable emotion from Shawn and Jules.

I couldn't believe they wrecked the Blueberry! And then they blew up the Cranberry!

The best part about the Cranberry was that you could see it being blown up from a mile away, yet it was still funny!

Absolutely LOVED the episode! Didn't realize how much I'd missed the show! Are they going to split the season like usual?

That was SO awesome! Poor Gus first his car(s) plus the vomiting - it just wasn't his night. It was a really funny episode.

I thought the slo-mo deduction scenes were to show that Shawn's emotional state was making him a little bit slower than usual at spotting the clues. I guess we'll see next week if I was reading too much into it or if they just made an editorial switch.

Loved when the cranberry blew up, I had to pause I was laughing so hard.

Re: Psych -- Season Premiere -- "Santabarbaratown 2" -- 2/27/13

I wasn't feeling the love quite as much as you all seem to have. It's great to have the show back and it definitely had it's moments but a few things threw me.

I didn't like Shawn and Gus playing SWAT. I know Shawn was suppose to be out of it a bit, but having them take out a house full of armed men, pulling a gun, etc just seemed too out of character not just for Shawn but for the show. The whole "it's the FBI's case now" was weak, that might work for some things but no police force is going to sit on their hands if told where to find a fugitive that shot one of their own.

It also went a little over the silly line at times, like the bomb bot nacho gag and the coroner in the hospital room with the body bag. I've said for a while they should dial it back with the coroner. The bodybag gag worked better at the bomb scene.

That said, there was a lot to love, the half-beards, the cranberry, etc.

I loves those scenes!
One of the best episodes ever.

This was the cranberry's first and only appearance right? Just making sure I didn't miss something.

I think my favorite scene was when Gus went to check the undercover FBI guy for his badge and reached for his front pants pocket.
Lassie and FBI guy: "The blazer!"
Shawn: "Why would you go low?... Why would you go low?"

But the 8th will be a short 8 show season and probably the show's last, according to the authoritative Deadline Hollywood website:

"The network stopped short of calling it the show’s final season though it is widely considered to be the veteran’s final hurrah. It will be an abbreviated Season 8 consisting of eight episodes."
