Didn't know what it was about going in and really enjoyed it. I was giddy to see Gambon and Smith reunited. And once I saw that Dustin Hoffman produced and directed I got really excited as I love it when stars take their money and reputation and start making art films in their later years.

I very much wanted to go with my wife to see this, along with Michael Haneke's movie, "Amour". Sadly, there is not ONE theater in all of Las Vegas that is playing either one of these films. Yet, movies like "Movie 43" and and " A Haunted House" are saturated in nearly every theater in town. Very sad!
I remember walking into a Las Vegas theater last year, asking if there was any chance that the French film, "The Well Digger's Daughter" would arrive at the theater, and the guy looked at me, and said, "Ahhhh, is that one of those films, like with words on the screen". Please people.....more foreign and independent fare in Las Vegas! Please!!!

Strangely, there's a 2012 film called "A Late Quartet" which stars a Hoffman (Philip Seymour) and deals with music. I was getting the two films mixed up.
