"Chinese Chicken" - When Dallas goes overboard making flyers for George's business, he begins to feel stifled and convinces Noah and Fred to start a dad band as a way to escape their significant others. I know this show barely gets any blip of discussion here like The Middle, but I thought I would go ahead and have this thread around for anyone who wants to talk about it.

For the record, I tend to watch this show in marathons (4-5 episodes at a time)

Ryan cheering Tessa after her entrance into math class was golden.

After a bunch of blah episodes, that one was pretty good.

"Feliza Minnelli" lol

Does Vil Valderrama's agent somehow coordinate it so that he's on new episodes of different shows in the same week? He was in a new Raising Hope this week too. That's happened before.

The actress who plays Dahlia is fantastic in this. She plays the dumb blonde part so well that it was a shock when she spouted her insightful questions re; religion as she was walking the dog with George. Another solid episode.

She plays vapid with a monotone voice very well. You really emphasize with Tessa and her interactions with Dahlia.

Yeah, I like Dahlia as well, the deadpan delivery of her bored existence cracks me up.

She's hilarious. I think she gets the perfect amount of screen time too. Anything more might be overkill and there's a chance I'd tire of her. As it is, every line she has is golden.

Re: Suburgatory -- Wednesdays (ABC)

Went through a 5 episode marathon including last night's episode.

Did anyone catch the TVBythenumbers inside joke in this episode?

Mr. Wolfe presented Tessa with the renewal/cancellation index with the cancellation bear.

at Tessa getting all the credits during the credit roll on Body Talk.

at Dahlia saying that her classmates at East Chatswin have a darker tan than her.

I loved how Dahlia didn't really notice she was at a different school, "Hey Tessa" at a janitor with a beard.

This is moving back to 7:30 behind The Middle starting next week. It should have never moved to 8:30, and I refused to watch that stupid Neighbors show because of it.

As soon as I saw that shirt I said out loud "Gordon Gartrell!". I was rolling when George said it. Awesome reference.

Re: Suburgatory -- Wednesdays (ABC)

I had to explain the reference to my wife, but she got it once I reminded her.

Man, this show sure has gotten dark all of a sudden. Dahlia is actually kinda scary now.

It better be coming back, that was in no way an ending to this show.

Same exact thing I told my wife tonight. Hope there is a third season. This show along with Happy Endings is criminally under-appreciated.

Me too. While I really enjoyed when Tessa first composed and played the show's theme song, hearing George play it as a sort of lullaby to Dahlia (with video of Tessa and her mother together) was almost heartbreaking. This is a really great show. I have to wonder if it can really last more than one more season though since Tessa will be graduating next year...
