The East (2013) - Ellen Page
"A story centered on contract worker who is tasked with infiltrating an anarchist group, only to find herself falling for its leader."
Directed by Zal Batmanglij
Starring Ellen Page, Alexander Skarsgard and Brit Marling
I'm glad the trailer doesn't give much away. Looks interesting, but throw away.

From the plot synopsis: "Ellen Page plays 'Izzy' a young woman who is smarter than everybody else in the room, and knows it. Izzy hides her true emotions behind flippant remarks and snarky sarcasm."

Looks interesting. Brit Marling was great in Another Earth, which I liked a lot. Looks like she was a writer on Another Earth and on this, too.

Saw this today and thought it was excellent. Brit Marling is 3 for 3 in my book, this being my favorite. I am extremely excited to see where her career goes.

I thought Sound of My Voice was very good, though I'm not sure how I feel about the ending (which I won't spoil here). The performances by the leads--and especially by Brit Marling--were great. I'll definitely be seeing The East. BTW, Marling was on Real Time with Bill Maher recently, for those that follow her.

I'm looking forward to seeing this.
'Sound Of My Voice' is excellent.
Brit Marling has been in a lot more that three films, and she already has a succesful career. She has like 4 or 5 projects in various stages of production now. Since she turned down a lucrative career in finance to pursue artistic endeavors, it's no surpise she picks parts and projects based on quality and merit, and not money.

She has been in more projects. I meant 3 for 3 with the ones she has written.

Yeah, she's been in plenty of movies and has more coming out, she was even on an episode of Community a couple years ago.
That said I was also referring to "her" movies as Sound of My Voice, Another Earth and The East. I saw Sound of my Voice the other night and enjoyed it a great deal, despite some reservations.

Put Brit Marling in EXPENDABLES 3 or TRANSFORMERS 4, so I can finally see what everyone's talking about.
