It seems the last show aired 2 months ago and they had the longest break ever for SNL and usually it returns during the 1st weekend of January.

I like Lawrence quite a bit, both as an actress and, from what I've seen, as a person. I don't usually watch SNL, but I already have this one set up to record.

I knew Jennifer Lawrence from Hunger Games and X-Men: First Class (she was Mystique)... but now that she's been nominated for an Oscar twice she's got a bit of staying power.

The waitress sketch was pretty good, but aside from that pretty standard SNL fare. Lawrence was giving her all, but the material was just plain bad. I honestly would like to know what its like at the writers' meetings and how they decide just what is and isn't funny.

Armisen is moonlighting on another TV series - Portlandia - and Hader is splitting his time between NY and LA doing voice overs.

Except that they didn't. It was a commercial for Blue Moon beer, which uses music by the Lumineers.
