Never heard of this one. CGI looks wonky.

Chinese CGI always looks weird. Didn't and haven't paid attention to whom the FX studio(s) are. Maybe they're an international one. If it's Chinese though...the cgi will be "serviceable" at best. If it's not one of their own..they paid enough to get the job done. I've no idea to how their mindset for that kind of stuff works out.

The must-see version of this story is Tsui Hark's GREEN SNAKE (1993/Hong Kong), with Joey Wang as White Snake and Maggie Cheung as her younger sister, Green Snake.

Early 1990s Tsui Hark. My favorite Tsui Hark. Really inventive filmmaking in that period. Good times.
