Really stretching the idea of "favorites", aren't they?

I really liked last season. This one may be tough to enjoy.

I don't know how many remember Corrine but she was one of my favorites. I don't know why because she was an absolute ****. She was just entertaining I suppose. And if memory serves me right, she had a tremendous rack.

Sort of makes you question the editing when they have Malcom filming as a "favorite" when his season has not even aired yet. How exactly to they know he's going to be a "favorite"

I think you could figure that Malcolm would be a favorite. His story about being on that shit tribe and still making it to the end was good.

I liked Dawn and Cochran, the rest I'm indifferent except for Hantz. Fucking ugh.

She probably wouldn't quite crack my top 10 but after 25 seasons the talent pool is pretty deep. She's still smokin hot.

And I think they did a great job of bringing back memorable and entertaining cast members. Francesca being the biggest exception but I don't mind her getting a second shot. She got hosed pretty hard really early in the game. So I don't mind her getting a second chance. I could also do without more Hantz this time around.

I'm passing on this season based on the cast. A very weak bunch of returning characters and I think the standard Survivor formula is starting to wear thin. They need to do something much more radical, like an all-male or all-female cast. I understand that would never happen though due to a sizable portion of the viewing audience immediately checking out.

I have to keep reminding myself that "favorites" means that they're favored to win because they're returning, not that they're fan favorites. Either that or producer favorites.

I feel bad in advance for Malcolm because how crushed he looked at the finale Phillipines finale I don't think he is winning

And I guess the casting of Cochran Brandon,Phillip and Andrea proves that if you play an awful game where you are sheep follower to a Probst man crush on their 3rd or 4th try you will be rewarded with a 2nd chance.

As awful as those 4 returning are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUV20hS30p8 that speech should have made Corrinne the last contestant ever asked back. Never have I been more dissapointed to see someone return. And for those that don't remember her she took a shot at one of the finalists recently deceased parents.

Well he almost won after being on a tribe that got decimated so anyone in that situation you could craft a great underdog story. And honestly the Producers struck gold it's like they found a young guy who is just as articulate and snarky as Tyson but who is also charasmatic,goodlooking and athletic.

Of course I'm going to watch, but man I am sick and tired of these lame ass All-Star editions. Survivor All-Stars was great the 1st time around, now it's just getting tiresome to see how lazy this show is getting now.

I don't know if CBS asked them to save money, but I already thought it sucked when they decided to cut shooting from 2 new locations per year, to only one and then shooting seasons back to back.

The formula of this show is getting quite tired already, but as long as it keeps getting over 10M viewers per season, this show can go on forever.

They're definitely, -admittedly, -shooting back-to-back to save money (and, at least this last season(s), because it accomodated Probst doing his syndicated talk show). Probst says they'll always have "returning" players from now on, -the producers feel this is successful, and the fact that the season they played more "old school" wasn't very good and didn't do particularly well in the ratings, would only seem to prove them "right".
