Actuallly saw them film some of this in last year as I was walking through London.
It was a seen after a robbery as I saw Cassel walking along the street with a painting and shotgun getting into a car. I was there with my girlfriend and Dawson walked straight past us and smiled. I should have asked for a picture but wasn't quite thinking when it happened.
Saw Boyle behind a camera setting up the shots. It was the 3rd time i've seen Boyle in real life. Top fellow!

I'm psyched for this. For me, Boyle is one of those can't miss directors. I've loved nearly everything he's ever done (sans that movie with Cameron Diaz). Can't wait.

Saw this earlier this week. Boyle, in his introduction, made sure to warn people that this was not in any way a feel-good or uplifting movie and this becomes very, very clear as the movie progresses through its ending.
The score is top notch, the actors are in top form, and you keep guessing as to the turns the film makes: it starts out as a heist movie, veers into a romantic drama/thriller, and then goes... elsewhere.
Recommended.

where did this open yesterday - NYC/LA only?? I was hoping to see/hear this in Dolby Atmos, but no theater in the DC area is playing this.

Fox Searchlight is expanding it to at least the top 40 markets on Friday. I don't have an exact screen number count.
Vegas is getting it, but as far as I know, only one theater has it booked (and it's not in Atmos
).
