Superboy Season 2 Finally Released, S3 & S4 in 2013
While not many may remember this show, the ones that do will remember it as being a bit cheesy at times, but fun to watch. WB released S1 in 2006 when Superman Returns was released, but due to poor DVD sales(it is their worse season)and a lawsuit between WB and the Shusters, the rest of the series has never known about its own release dates, until now. Through WB Archives and MOD(Manufacturer on Demand), WB has decided to release the rest of the series for those who purchased the first season and fr those who only liked the Gerard Christopher seasons(John Haymes Newton played the role in S1)

Well, it was on television at one point (it was a syndicated program in its day). I can't believe it ever got a release in the first place, but supposedly the entire show had been planned for DVD at one point. WB/DC got very worried for a few years they were going to lose the copyright claim to Superboy. I am not sure I have seen repeats run on cable by any channel. The awareness of the show to today's audience must be practically unknown.

I used to enjoy this show but barely remember anything beyond the woman who played Lana (and I mainly remember her because of her supporting role in Gremlins 2, where her character ends up amorously linked to John "Lionel Luthor" Glover's character). Heck, I idn't even remember that SUperboy himself was recast in season 2. I wonder how it'll hold up for me these days.

/\ Those were two different actresses.
Stacy Haiduk was in Superboy;
Haviland Morris was in Gremlins 2;

Well then I remember even less of that show than I thought.

Haviland Morris was also in Sixteen Candles.
Stacy Haiduk has shown up in a couple episode of Burn Notice, but I hadn't seen her in anything since Superboy.
And of course Superboy had Howard Sherman, Bub from Day of the Dead, playing Lex Luthor.
It was an ok show, very low budget, very early 90s feel to it. I think they shot it all at Universal Studios Orlando and it feels like it.

If you ordered this from Warner Archive initially you would have received a pressed (not burned) copy. I did. I have absolutely no idea if/when the burned ones will start replacing the initial run.

It's a very earnest take on Superman, before the era when audiences demanded their heroes be emotionally tortured and grim. Think of the show as a low-rent version of the first Donner movie, if you took everything cool out of them.
