Why does Big Bang Theory keep getting nominated? The show is getting worse each season and it wasn't that good to begin with.

As someone who has only in the past year discovered Community, I can't understand why it doesn't win every comedy award possible.
I think Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey, and The Newsroom are all incredibly overrated.

They're really turning on Mad Men, huh? I thought this season was one of the best so far.

I'm sorry but "Game of Thrones" and/or "Walking Dead" should have gotten the spots occupied by "Boardwalk Empire" and "Downton Abbey". Especially since until 4 years ago "Downton Abbey" would have been eligible for any category other than "miniseries" per international co-productions.

Boardwalk Empire was pretty good this season.
For Game of Thrones, i would have been happy with just a Dinklage nom for supporting actor.
My wife also like Newsroom. I didnt watch it.

Newsroom was okay. I actually liked the news part of it, but the characters were pretty bad, bordering on awful, if you ask me. In contrast with Sorkin's West Wing, where even if you disagreed with the politics, the characters for the most part were very endearing.
I asked my mom what she thought of Newsroom - she said she hated it because she couldn't stand how the characters talked so fast.
No matter what, it doesn't belong on any best list. It damn sure wasn't better than Boss or Justified.

As a registered Republican who just happens to be a far-left liberal on every single position, I think Newsroom is the best anything ever.

I didn't even notice that. I figured Mad Men was on it. Good lord - what an omission, and to be snubbed in favor of Newsroom. If the Golden Globes (and Emmys) weren't a big enough joke, that seals it.

I more or less agree with this. I like the show, but Season 2 definitely dived more into "soap opera"-like plots that weren't there in Season 1.
