Did anyone else get the long speech NUMEROUS times while in line to get the P2 Warranty from Best Buy?
It was $39.99 for 3 years. The deal:
If it breaks they replace it with a brand new one NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
The sell: He tried to say that there was NO manufacture's warranty on the item at all.
He said that it's a new item so it is LIKELY to break.
He said You CAN'T play the old games on the new system because the lasers were sensitive and it would break. But if you did and had the Best Buy warranty they would give you the new one.
Then after I politely said NO THANKS, I like to take risks in life. They I guess took that as a maybe, and preceeded to tell me the whole sell one more time. I heard it 5 times yesterday morning.
side note for unethical people:
someone pointed out that they would save the $39.99 and if theirs broke they would buy a new one, put the broken one in the new box, and return it with the receipt saying they got two for birthday or whatever.

Unless you cannot afford to replace this item in the future or have it repaired then I would never waste money on those warranties!!
I believe they are worthwhile for big screen tv's due to the fact that if your projector fails this is about $800-$1000 to repair!!!
