And yet, I'm sure some here still think he's worth "rooting for". Screw that. As I've said before, I don't root for any of them. This girl cleans up her life and wants nothing other than to provide a safe and healthy home for her son, and he forcibly relapses her because she honestly tells him what she's going to do. Every complaint she leveled was valid. If I'm going to root for someone, it'll be the junkie who cleaned up her life and is trying to be a better mom, not the people who think they're deserving of everything in life even if others are unfairly crushed so they can get it.
On another note, Tara seems like she's one foot out the door, even if it means leaving Jax behind.
Is Gemma really thinking of going with Clay? She doesn't have to do the whole Trojan Gemma thing anymore since Clay's already gone, but she's still cozying up to him. But that's not stopping her from cozying up to Jimmy Smits too. I can't call that one except to say there's a lot of history there with her and Clay. Then again, he's no longer in the club.
Jax needed to meet with the Irish and find out what it'd take to make things right. It's obvious he didn't know about the cartel doing what they ended up doing. I also don't know why the cartel did what they did. I know they needed the guys sooner than the new alliance would allow, but Jax was working that out. At least see if he succeeds before taking matters into your own hands. And why take Jax's money on top of the guns? Unnecessary hostility on the part of the CIA/cartel.

Jax's action at the end of this episode has changed my view about him and the show SOA forever. I was really upset at the ending. I love this show. I'll watch till the end of the series, but no longer will I care. Why would Sutter turn Jax into an anti-hero like this? I understand Jax has always been on the fence between what was morally right and wrong, but what he did here totally went against his character in my eyes. Is it finally desperation? Is it now to the point where he doesn't care about anyone or anything as long as he gets what he wants? It's almost like this is it, everything is spiraling out of control and I'm going to do whatever it takes for the family and club.

Jax's actions with Wendy is callback to the advice he sought from Pope at Charming Heights. Hey, at least he didn't "Adriana" her.
As for Tara leaving, no. She fears she's going to jail, but she wasn't going to tell Wendy that. And no way Gemma's going with Clay, but there' no reason for her to come right out at say that to him right there. It can wait until he's closer to really leaving.

I'm thinking he'll show up at the barn instead of Gemma and Jax will finally get his revenge. The rest of the club will just think he's left for Ireland.

It really is amazing how anyone who even remotely comes in contact with the club has their life just turn to shit. That clubhouse is now the anti Disney, the saddest place on earth.
i can see donal logue going into next season, but i really hope Pope gets cooked in the finale. I thought Jax' comment to Pope's adviser about him being patient was foreshadowing that he will be taking over soon. i do wonder how they get around Pope's insurance policy in case he gets killed.

Exactly, Wendy has totally turned her life around and is the perfect person to have in her own son's life, especially if something were to happen to Jax and Tara. Tara understands this, but for some reason Jax can't. It's one thing for Jax to intimidate her again, but an entirely different issue to do what he did. Jax is dead to me...haha

There was a short scene in last night's episode where Jax came to Gemma's office and asked her to sit down. The scene ended abruptly, so I'm assuming whatever he had to say to her is the reason why she's still staying close to Clay.
I'm thinking he'll show up at the barn instead of Gemma and Jax will finally get his revenge. The rest of the club will just think he's left for Ireland.

My guess is something like this:
Tig pretty much hates Clay is my read of things
Jax has to give up Tig
I think Jax will tell Tig that he's a dead man and will give him an opportunity to have him take out Pope. He'll do it in a way that implicates Clay and keeps the club clear of it. Clay will go off to Ireland and have to lay low. Next season will be mostly about Donal Logue's character with a bit about Ireland, Clay, and the assasins.

I also hope Jax doesn't give up Tig but instead takes out Pope. Pope deserves it, big time. (And yeah, Wendy deserved nothing.)

I also hope Jimmy Smits stays. It's nice to have a face to the "Biz Lats" on this show. They also showed up in not only The Shield but also The Unit, right?

Yes. Byz Lats were also mentioned on The Unit.

Clearly that universe must have a show called The Shield then, that happens to be the exact same as ours.

They weren't bullshitting about Clay being out, he even had to have his tats blacked out. That probably hurt like a bitch. No more so than what they did to ex-member Kyle in S1 when the club found out he hadn't blacked out his tats. They used a blowtorch on that poor slob.
I really hope Nero sticks around, he's been a terrific addition. Plus, I've had a man-crush on Smits since NYPD Blue. He looks good with the goatee.
If Jax really plans to give Tig up to Pope, I will join the I HATE JAX bandwagon.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- 90 Minute Episode -- "Darthy" -- 11/27/12
So...what is up with the ex-Marshall plotline? It seems unnecessary - I wonder if Sutter is going to use that storyline to kill someone off (maybe someone like Juice or Unser protecting Tara for Jax?) or if it is a way to keep Tara in Charming?
Also one thing I didn't get / like:
Why did the Cartel try to take the guns at the barn? I kind of get the excuse that they showed up because they found out that Clay's cut was taken and they wanted to make sure the deal went through, but why come with guns blazing and try to take the guns instead of just letting the deal go through? Seems like a tiny amount of money for the Cartel (it was something like 450K right?) - why make enemies when they are going to deal with the Chinese after that deal anyway.
Also why the hell was everyone in the barn like fish in a barrel - no lookouts or people on the outside actually protecting the barn? Kind of minor, but it seemed like a weak way to surprise the audience (and SAMCRO and the Irish) with the Cartel crashing the deal.

Sutter said something along the lines of "the ex-Marshall storyline will set up a plot that runs throughout season 6 and becomes a major issue in season 7"

The show started out as a Hamlet-type story. Sutter swapped that out for a Macbeth story once Jax become king. You could also see the whole thing as a Camelot, with his reign at the table, both the rise and the fall.
Jax should definitely not make it out of the show alive.
