I feel like I say the same thing every week, but I'll do it again - this show is so fucking good.

The whole quinn thing threw me for a loop. Be interesting to see how it all plays out, that take-down was just too easy, like they said. I think it was a decoy.

Great episode.

I have to hand it to them, the ending of a majority of these episodes catches me by surprise. They really know how to sign off and have you think "Wait! No! Just a little more please!"

So the Brody/Nazir link is either burned or Brody intentionally fed the CIA misinformation. Either way the die has been cast. Clearly the news van/bomb plot was a decoy if for no other reason than the episode number in the season - 9 of 12. The only question is did Brody know that or not.

Another great episode, as the 50 minutes just flew by! This show never disappoints!

Yup, another amazing episode. This show works with ambiguity and uncertainty SO well. (What was the reason he didn't tell them about the prayer?) I'm guessing Brody didn't know and was actually trying to get out, but of course that's just a guess since that's about all you can do with this show.

It was, however, a bit more than a decoy, since at least 2 of the terrorists key people were there (the munitions guy and the reporter).

Just awesome...

Didn't expect the Quinn storyline to play out like that...good stuff.

I don't think he's mentioned being Muslim to anyone else at the CIA outside of Carrie, and I doubt she would bring it up, all things considered. Since that seemed to be the only thing he held back, I think he just wanted to keep that aspect to himself.

Seems like Quinn's the show's attempt to introduce a Jack Bauer-esque character into the show. Presumably, F. Murray Abraham is the head of CTU (or this universe's equivalent).

The farwell moment with Nazir and Brody makes me wonder if their plan is for Nazir to kill himself in a suicide bombing while Brody escapes and takes his place in the fight against the US.

Amazing how good the episode is when they limit the sniveling teenager's screen time and cut out the Brody/Carrie face sucking.

Yeah, the whole "go out like Bin Laden or bring the fight to the enemy" combined with "this will be the last time we'll see each other" and Roya telling Brody to stick near her during the bombing to stay safe leads me to believe it is Nazir that is supposed to die.

But who knows if that is the true intent at this point. That's the thing about this show, we see into Brody's world, but all we really know is what he sees/hears and says out loud to someone, we can't be sure of his inner motivations. And all we know of Roya and Nazir is what Brody himself sees/hears, and even then often only through the Brody flashback filter.

Agreed. The daughter has some good moments but is overall just annoying. Her dad is working with the CIA to save the damn country and all she can do is bitch about how much she hates him. I'm sorry that you get to take the day off school and spend your time in a gorgeous safe house while your dad tries to be a hero.

I know people will say 'but it's realistic!' but like I said with other shows with annoying teenagers... 'realistic' doesn't mean 'good'.

A little late in the season to be introducing such a major player. I think the season 3 prologue has begun.

I have a teenage daughter and I'm pretty sure if someone from the CIA or whatever showed up and said "we are under orders to get you out of here for your safety" she wouldn't whine about it.

Re: Homeland -- "Two Hats" -- 11/25/12

The daughter has become so exceedingly hateable that I root against her more than Nazir. When Mike read her the riot act I almost stood up to slow clap. She is getting the Lori edit (Walking Dead). Makes me wonder...

And I also hope that if you came home after 8 years as a POW and assumed dead your daughter wouldn't say it was better when you weren't around.

Yeah, you didn't get much of a look at his face in this ep, but he's...
[preview/credits spoiler only]
Spoiler:
played by (academy award winner) F. Murry Abraham--his name was actually in the credits for this ep, too--and featured prominently in the preview for next week. Seems unlikely they'd cast him for an inconsequential role, so he's likely to be around for a while as head of this "unofficial/wet work" part of the agency.
