Barry Pepper. Always a pleasure.
Good looking cast. Looks like it could be pretty generic and mediocre but...could be fun.

Saw this, not bad, worth a rental. Pretty funny seeing two back to back Johnson trailers before this.

So when does Shane turn on the Rock because he wants the Rock's wife all to himself?

My biggest problem is , it is pretty much a movie to let you know the filmakers dont like the drug laws. Its the same type of shit you hear from druggies, the laws are unfair. Sure they are lopsided, but there is a simple solution, don't deal, don't use, don't hang around these fucking losers.
They wanted you to feel sorry for this kid because he broke a law that they think is unfair. I like how the description says he is wrongly accused. How are you wrongly accused when you take the drugs from the delivery person, bring them into your house and open the box? Even the kid said it was his own fault and never should have took the box.
I was looking forward to a good action flick with the Rock, Pepper, and Shane. Just got a propaganda flick.
Did get a good laugh though from that Tyler Perry movie. It's basically a black version of The Room starring Tyrone Wiseau.

I thought the most ridiculous part of this movie is if the kid is not willing to help himself then why should anybody help him at all? If he was wrongfully snitch on, then by god, snitch on somebody else too. He was acting as if he has this moral high ground that he would never snitch. Fucking idiot,

Really enjoyed this. The thing I like most is that there is no real moral resolution. The Rock wanted his son out of jail and basically fucked up the lives of his family and Shane's in the process. There wasn't really a happy ending, per se. And you just know that the cartel will at least find Shane's family and massacre them all.

I think you're expecting too much in a low-budget action movie released in February. It was entertaining.

I can respect your take but what holes were in the plot? Are characters that aren't essential to the story that aren't mentioned after their part is over a "hole"? Not only that but they explained one of your concerns, so you missed that part, and the other is just about an extremely minor character that did her part. Did you want to see her in the ridiculous car chase in the semi-truck chasing down The Rock?
The whole plot was absurd anyway with this fake new law that was invented for the premise of the film.

I liked this movie. Some decent action and I think it showed a more vulnerable side to Dwayne Johnson as an action hero. The guy he played was supposedly based off a real character and I appreciated that they didn't make him some over the top badass like Hobbs on F&F.
And yeah there really wasn't no true "Happy Ending" since the family had to go into witness protection.
The behind the scenes material on the BD was really informative. The writer/director was aiming to keep this movie more grounded in reality.
