Whoa! This season is terrific....

Wow. Tonight stepped it up a notch.

Saved Pt. 1 so I could watch 'em both tonight. Here I go!

I watched both tonight too. Great decision!

incredible episode. Loved how in 'Ann Frank's" hubby's flashback they used the home camera shots to tell his story. Got goosbumps when they utilized it at the end.

The music used in these last two episodes have been top notch. Is it recycled?

Nice to see Shelly is alive and kicking.

Welcome return of the aliens.

That part with him confessing so that he could "hear" himself describe the crimes was ham-fisted as shit. Blech.

On the other hand, Doctor Threatstone being the killer shocked me completely. On the third hand though, it also removes one of the only semi-sympathetic characters the show had.

I'm not sure I like this season. I'm watching it but I'm not sure I'm entertained, though I want to see how it turns out.

What a great episode! I wish I had time to watch it again back to back, that was quality tv.

Quinto's a good actor, but he does his best work when he is evil. Mint? I cannot wait to see him in the upcoming episodes.

I wonder what is going to happen to Sister Jude now. Is it next week yet?

I wasn't really sure on this season until last night.

Agree about not being sure if I like this season, but I'm definitely still being entertained.

Who exactly is Anne Frank/CHarlotte's husband?

Does Arden and Sister Mary know about the aliens?

Sister Jude makes such a great anti-hero. No matter how despicable her actions, I always find myself rooting for her and, as in the scene where she told the story of her pet squirrel, sympathizing with her. It's most likely because she's the only fully-realized character; the rest are just there for plot.

Poor Lana. It's uncomfortable to watch how much contempt the writers seem to possess for her.

No. Arden found the implant they put in Kit and was convinced it was there to spy on him (seeing as how he's a war criminal and all).

Sister Jude is the only one who has seen one of the aliens, but it was when she was drunk during the Nor'easter.

I'm hoping there's an Emmy category for "Best MidCentury-Modern Home Interiors". Zach's place rocked so hard I could barely hear the storyline.

Jessica Lange will return for season 3 as well (in a different role)

I thought Quinto might be Bloodyface considering he's one of the few characters young enough to still be in action to dismember Adam Levine in the modern-day sequences.

Jessica Lange knocked that squirrel monologue out of the park.

Quinto's kill room kept making me think of Dragon Tattoo's kill room.

Yeah that is great news, both that it is coming back and that Lange will be back for more!

He can come off a bit brusk, but I think implying Dragon Tattoo is a killer might be a personal attack.

Yeah I got that same vibe.

First thing I thought of as well.

I'm liking everything except two things.

1) The "mutants" outside of the asylum, seriously they can't escape or something?
2) The aliens, they just make the story ridiculous.

Evan Peters is 10 years younger than Quinto...didn't you think it could have been Kit for the same reason then?

I really hope the alien business is a huge miss-direction and that there will be an explanation for them that doesn't involve ETs visiting Earth.

This season has the right tone, but I simply don't like it nearly as much as the first season. I get the feeling the writers didn't have nearly as a compelling narrative in mind for this season as last year, and decided to throw in the kitchen sink (exorcisms, Nazi doctors, serial killers, aliens, etc.) to paper over the holes. We get Jessica Lange mugging for another Emmy at least once an episode now, if you didn't realize what that long monologue by Sister Jude was in the middle of the episode.
