Am I missing something? The Cartel's going to kill Jax because Clay knows they're CIA?

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- 90 Minute Episode -- "Crucifixed" -- 11/13/12

There's Team Clay and Team Jax. There is no middle. Jax wants Clay dead. Jax hasn't been able to kill Clay because he's needed to keep the cartel/CIA off the club's back (RICO). Jax is trying to sabotage the RICO case so that they don't have to stay in business with the cartel and Clay becomes expendable. However, that would seriously screw things up for the cartel/CIA. On the flip side, if they drop Jax and restore Clay, he will leave everything status quo. He suddenly became a more attractive option to them.

Fuckin' a Jax. Tell Bobby about how he wasn't there to see Opie die. Audible "yeah" watching that scene. Great payoff with Chibbs as well.

I thought it was a great episode.
Tara really thought Otto just wanted to pray? Seriously? That was one gruesome scene, and it does seem it won't be hard to trace back how Otto got that crucifix.
Chibbs is such a great character, and he looked genuinely insulted when Jax said "I need to know you're on my side" (and rightfully so).

Couldn't Tara just say that Otto busted loose, knocked out the orderly and the nurse, and then grabbed Tara's crucifix and killed them? I mean how can this become assistance to murder? No witnesses. No problems. /nod

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- 90 Minute Episode -- "Crucifixed" -- 11/13/12

Hard to say where they're going with Tara these days. Making the baby cry so she could hold him was our second private WTF moment in a row. And that was before *this*. Yeah, giving Otto the crux seemed unconvincingly naive, but then she's never seen his psycho side like we have, and of course the ep title telegraphed it was going to be messy somehow.

I've never wavered on my love for this show, but I'd watch Hunnam, Perlman & Sagal read the phonebook, as they say. Hunnam's first gig was as the 16-yr-old hot twink on the original UK Queer As Folk, so he's always had my loyalty.

Funny how I once thought Katey Sagal and Ed O'Neill were talentless hacks due to Married With Children. How wrong I was.

Except that she has updated her hospital records to show that Jax is her husband and being the wife of the President of the club Otto belongs to, well that could complicate the "He just busted loose" theory. And I agree, Bobby wasn't there when Opie got killed so he can't understand. And I remember Samcro helped the Grim bastards get revenge when their leaders besty got killed. I can't see, even if the big guy was family, how they would think Samcro wouldn't take revenge.

Check out the movie " 3.2.1. Frankie go boom" to see a whole different aspect to Jax's and Clay's relationship.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- 90 Minute Episode -- "Crucifixed" -- 11/13/12

So what was the point of Otto killing the nurse?

Edit: Ok the scene with Jax at the end made more sense as to why he did what he did.

So now, in this universe, the CIA is allowed to just go around murdering people with impunity?

She's a trained doctor, not a retard. They would never allow her to walk in there wearing a crucifix (or anything that could be used as a weapon), and she knows that. Add the now obvious Sons connections, and it looks a whole lot more suspicious.

Well, to be fair, you'd be hard-pressed to find a CIA storyline in TV or movies for the past generation where they don't.

I'm sure this happens in any universe, including the one we live in...

So how did she get the crucifix in there? This show has gone to hell in a handbasket.

Too many stupid plot holes and devices.

How did she get it in there? Pretty easy. She was probably wearing it is my guess.

They wouldn't check for her wearing something like that? I know it's just tv and stuff, and there have been bigger holes.

Maybe she pulled a Cowboy Bob Orton and hid it in her controversial arm cast. she may even have access to the pocket in the universe where Immortals store their swords while walking around.

I don't think this show is supposed to take place in our universe were normal rules apply. In theirs the Sons are sometime wary of violating their parole by wearing cuts and other times don't care.

in their universe Death Row prisoners who have attacked and killed while incarcerated, rate an orderly at best when taking off restraints, not multiple guards, because those death row inmates are really gregarious and docile in nature.

That and their random shoot outs and car chases in the middle of busy streets, then it's just back to the shop to hang out.
