Well that's one plot thread that won't be dragging out. Love the feel it creates of you never knowing what might happen in an episode. Can't wait until next week.

Any other show would have done at least two or three episodes of surveillance. Not this one. Holy shit.

Well fuck a duck...
Like everyone else I expected the surveillance to be drawn out a bit, but nope!
Dana's stuff feels like filler but I'm a bit interested to see where it goes with the VP's son.
I didn't know the guy playing David Estes was British either.

And why the fuck do we care about Brody's daughter being a cock tease to the Veep's son?
Other than that, great episode. Everything moved forward and I loved how everything transpired with the sting operation.
Brody pretty much confessed to Carrie. He's pretty much fucked with the tape and his little talk with Carrie in the room. Looking forward to seeing how everything goes from here on out and what Nazir's people may do.

I'm in the minority in that I actually enjoyed the scenes with the daughter and the Veep's son. I also loved how she pissed off the Veep.
As for the surveillance. Wow. Add me to the group that expected it to be dragged out longer than that.
Although, given Brody's buddies piecing things together on their own, I bet the follwoing occurs. Brody is broken anew, works for the CIA as a mole, and his buddies acciddentally out him, which clues in Nazir and his cronies as to what is going one. Likely culminating in the death of Brody right at that moment.

Brody's daugther is actually pretty solid.
Moving at a rapid clip now, wonder if Brody will be salvageable at all as a chracter for another season? I think Lewis will be moving on, but you never know!

Yes, wow!
Like most, all?, I expected the CIA and Brody's friends to circle him and find out about him. Now I wonder how his friends doubting about him will work out.

Fuck. Yes.
The show totally redeemed itself. I said last week that Brody had to go down immediately. Although it seems like they are going to hide his capture which is lame.

I've no problems with Brody's daughter. It's a nice romantic element that isn't completely unwarranted teenage rebellion (I like him in part because my parents don't). She's basically a good and intelligent kid who loves her family but struggles with their thoughts and actions and her own lack of control. In other words, just about what being a teenager is really like.
Right?
The thing about Carrie is while we're all cheering, we should remember that she confirmed everyone's lack of faith in her stability by going off the reservation. That confrontation wasn't about getting a confession. They already had that. Brody's goose was cooked. They just decided to leave him in play to get to higher people. Carried messed that up. Once again she was a hothead. She wasn't in charge of this mission and it wasn't her call to make. She'd specifically been told to stand down. Did Brody see through the chink in her armor? Maybe, maybe not. But to Carrie, no other opinion but her own mattered. Again. In a way, finding out she was originally right about Brody has reinforced her bad tendency to know she's 100% right all the time.
You can never trust double agents. One thing some people overlook is Brody isn't just doing what he's done for Abu Nazir. Yes, he's doing it for Issa, but fundamentally he's doing it because his sense of right and wrong was offended. How dare we kill innocent people and then lie about it? It's one thing to kill innocents and explain it as an unfortunate and undesirable necessity for the greater good. It's a different thing to kill innocents and not even acknowledge you did it. Brody becoming a double agent would suggest he only did what he did because he was tortured and brainwashed into it -- which could undercut Season 1 somewhat depending on how they play it out.

Brody can "save" himself, by claiming that he had second thoughts about blowing up the bomb he had on himself and make himself out to be a victim of the terrorists.
Very intense episode though, it just keeps getting better and better
