Re: Power Rangers: Megaforce (2013)
Ugh, that 2nd girl looks like jailbait.
I have very little hope for this show doing anything justice after Samurai turned out to be an embarrassment even by PR standards.

Watching that video, I can't help but smile at the pure enthusiasm that crowd had for seeing all the Rangers fighting together. And then I'm amused at the youtube comments of people discussing how such a thing isn't possible (I guess it isn't just comic fans that are anal).
I might watch the one episode that brings the original five back.

Amy Jo Johnson's coming back? Well, I may have to tune in
I remember back in the day I was at a party and someone mentioned watching the show and a bunch of twenty-something guys all became quiet and someone said "Pink ranger" and we all nodded in agreement

Re: Power Rangers: Megaforce (2013)
They're never coming back. Amy Jo Johnson won't even talk about Power Rangers in public anymore since she's found commercial success, and she was the only one who refused to participate in Shout's recent DVD set's retrospective feature.
Add to that the fact that Austin St. John (Jason) and JDF (Tommy) both swore that they would kill the other one if they ever saw each other in real life again.
Then, Thuy's (Trini) dead...
Walter Jones (Zack) and David Yost (Billy) might be up for it, even though Yost has no love for Saban. They even go to PR cons, so that's two out of five at best.

I didn't know about the hate between ASJ and JDF. What happened there?
I love the "Tommy is every Ranger" comment.

Found some raw footage of behind the scenes:
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/v_4dbaW0d5g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4A3gOMsvBw8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
In that first video at the 3 min. mark David Yost give JDF the biggest fuck you face and at 3:26 it looks like JDF is flipping off yost

The fact that they made a small comment/joke about it in the first movie is what showed how much Saban actually paid attention to the fact that all these boys were going through puberty cause of her.

When does Megaforce premiere? And will it be on Nickelodeon or another channel?

I just called one of my friends to tell him the mega reunion episode was going to be part of this run (cause he had seen the original version) and he was like "They've already edited it down and added new footage since we know they can't show a whole bunch of those teams since they don't exist in the American versions".

I kinda hope this song gets used at some point during the episode with all the Rangers from every continuity:

I dunno about Walter Jones but David Yost is doubtful since the show would probably bring up bad memories for him. Apparently he quit the show due to harrassment over his being a homosexual.

There's no need to edit the battle. Just shoot new footage for the US version that explains this is all a time rift and that Rangers from different timelines appear.

It still strikes me as odd that they extended the Shinkenger adaptation, Samurai, to two seasons, when the natural anniversary show, Gokaiger (the Japanese anniversary show where the five pirate rangers can turn into any ranger of any past show via "keys", plus have zords that are callbacks to past shows), is now scheduled for next year or the year after. If they had just kept the one year, one adaptation schedule it would have been perfect.

That moment totally gave me chills, just because of the crowd's reaction. The actual trailer did nothing for me but it kind of made me happy to hear people get so excited for it.

Seriously doubt that the anniversary episode will live up the awesomeness that was "Forever Red." Hell, even "Fighting Spirit" was better than "Once A Ranger." Still, I'll happily join for the anniversary special if they do get any old cast members back, though I'd imagine if they had, word would've gotten out by now. No Koichi Sakamoto, no Judd Lynn, no Jackie Marchand, this is not the PR I came to know and love. Sakamoto is apparently doing big-time tokusatsu stuff in Japan, so it's likely he won't ever be back. It looks like Power Rangers' return to Saban isn't the boon many fans hoped.
