Carrie Ann Moss' character is window dressing. She literally has nothing to do. Chiklis seems to be playing the same character from the shield. Nothing about him seems like hes from the 1960s. For that matter nobody really does. Since when does the mafia get rid of witnesses by sending them on a vacation? Like the feds cant check flight records. If I was the Sheriff I might call for backup before going into a house full of armed robbers with just my brother. This show kinda looks like theyre going for a CSI if it was set 50 years ago. Everything takes a backseat to the body/case of the week.

But my biggest problem with the show is Dennis Quaid. I just don't like the character and I don't think he's a good lead.

I liked this one better than the pilot, too. My previous quibble about lack of smokers was overwhelmingly rectified in this episode. I still don't really care for the show and I think Dennis Quaid is the weak link. Maybe it's because I read last week's thread, but I now find his constant scowl annoying, plus the writers haven't given us any reason to care about him or his brothers. If I continue to watch, I think I'll root for the gangsters.

Why did I click on this thread? And why did I have to read that. Fortunatly I think I think I just did a one off recording last week so I don't think any of my Tivo's would have recorded it. I'm in a real pickle her as I am a huge fan of Juggs... A one off or actually joining the cast?

CBS may keep it because of the total # of viewers, but that is a tremendously low 18 - 49 for them. But unless it goes up a tenth next week, don't expect this show to be around long.
