A suburb filmmaker with great range. His films constantly bring something unique to the table and display his incredible technique and passion for the craft... coupled with a visual tapestry that is solely his own. Even his "failures" are endlessly fascinating.

It's a pretty amazing accomplishment that Deliverance was filmed in the suburbs, so I'll have to go with that one.

Deliverence is my favorite of his. I've tried watching Excalibur several times but I just can't get into it. I want to enjoy it, I just can't for some reason.

Deliverance for me too. Not only a great film but showed that Burt Reynolds could do more than just mug for the camera.

POINT BLANK, for me, chiefly because I rewatched it recently. I remember liking ZARDOZ a lot when it came out and I've taken a lot of heat over the years for championing EXORCIST II over its predecessor, including at the time it came out. But I haven't re-watched either in a long time.

I remember liking EXCALIBUR and EMERALD FOREST, but I haven't seen either of them since they came out.

I guess to the younger guys than I (i'm 26). Do they show you guys Excalibur? I first saw it when I was a Junior in High School. That was like...2002-2003. Kind of a trippy movie at times. I'm not really sure I like it or not. Just something about it.

Excalibur, saw it first time on post while in the army and thought it was great. Also watched it once with Who Killed Bambi by The Pistols as the soundtrack and it matched up pretty well.

Deliverance. i thought Excalibur was a bore and highly overrated.

Reynolds alone was responsible for his lousy choices in his career.

Burt chose STROKER ACE over TERMS OF ENDEARMENT, leaving the role open to Jack Nicholson who then won an Oscar for it.

I've only seen Excalibur, Deliverance and Point Blank. All excellent movies. I'd probably go for Deliverance though if I had to. Hard pick though.

Hope and Glory was one of the first movies my family had on video tape, and my sister and I watched it over and over. I consider it one of the best children's movies ever made, and think it is a shame there aren't more movies of this calibre for kids. Not that there is anything wrong with Harry Potter or Diseny stuff, but it would be good to have a few movies mixed in that tell you a little something about history and life.

Each one a great film.

Yeah, we got to see it too (Junior year as well...I think) But we had to read Le Morte d'Arthur first.

I've always liked him, although I picked up In My Country at 99 cent store and couldn't get through it.
I like Zardoz & Excalibur, but Deliverance has to be my pick.

Excalibur is my all-time favorite movie, I've seen it hundreds of times. Hope & Glory is in my top twenty, also. Deliverance is also a masterpiece, and is rightly regarded as such.

For me, it was a toss up between Excalibur and The Emerald Forest. I'd seen The Emerald Forest many years ago and thought it was good enough to want it in my collection. Recently bought it on a double feature along with Lord Of The Flies (1990), watched it with my wife, she loved it! Once again I found it to be visually striking, a captivating movie. For my part, Excalibur was a recent (within the last couple of years) blind buy, I'd never seen it before. But once my wife & I saw it it for the first time, I knew it was a keeper, we'll gladly watch it again!

What I would like to know is how he talked Sean Connery to run around in a red diaper, black go-go- boots and have a pony tail wig in his movie.

The Exorcist II is genuinely one of the worst movies ever made. And I love every minute of it.

For a movie that has a ton of nudity and Connery running around looking like he escaped from an S&M club, Zardoz sure is boring.
