How soon do TV shows get ported over to online?

I'm having a problem in that my DVR can only record two shows at a time, and with Thursday being a busy night with a lot of shows on at the same time, how soon do the networks move their shows to their respective websites? Does each network have different scheduling in this respect?

From what I've seen in the past...

CBS doesn't port certain shows. For example, Person of Interest is not (legally) posted online.

FOX = some shows have an 8 day wait on hulu

NBC = next day on hulu

ABC = unsure. I usually watch ABC shows "live"

so if you're having trouble with your DVR, I would recommend catching NBC shows online instead.

Does AMC put The Walking Dead on their website?

I don't believe they post free episodes online.

that's sounds like the best idea, since 'Glee' 'Person of Interest' and 'Parks & Recreation' all play within the same hour - ugh talk about annoying. You'd think that CBS and FOX would reair episodes on Saturday or something...

Most of them are posted online legally the next day. However, there are a few exceptions:

FOX shows are viewable the next day online if you subscribe to a certain cable satellite provider (you need to sign in). If not, it's an 8-day delay. If you subscribe to Hulu Plus, you can watch them the next day.

CBS shows that aren't produced by CBS (The Mentalist, Person of Interest) are not posted online or available ala carte. Warner Brothers, who produces both shows are very stingy with online distribution.

Check your cable provider website or ondemand page. My cable provider will usually have shows up the same day, next day, or sometimes before the show airs.

Check their sites to see which shows are available now before you decide what to record in the future.
