How soon do TV shows get ported over to online?
I'm having a problem in that my DVR can only record two shows at a time, and with Thursday being a busy night with a lot of shows on at the same time, how soon do the networks move their shows to their respective websites? Does each network have different scheduling in this respect?

From what I've seen in the past...
CBS doesn't port certain shows. For example, Person of Interest is not (legally) posted online.
FOX = some shows have an 8 day wait on hulu
NBC = next day on hulu
ABC = unsure. I usually watch ABC shows "live"
so if you're having trouble with your DVR, I would recommend catching NBC shows online instead.

I don't believe they post free episodes online.

FOX shows are viewable the next day online if you subscribe to a certain cable satellite provider (you need to sign in). If not, it's an 8-day delay. If you subscribe to Hulu Plus, you can watch them the next day.
CBS shows that aren't produced by CBS (The Mentalist, Person of Interest) are not posted online or available ala carte. Warner Brothers, who produces both shows are very stingy with online distribution.
