Parks and Recreation -- Season Premiere -- "Ms. Knope goes to Washington" -- 9/20/12

Synopsis:

LESLIE AND ANDY HEAD TO WASHINGTON D.C. - SENATORS BARBARA BOXER, JOHN MCCAIN AND OLYMPIA SNOWE GUEST STAR

Leslie (Amy Poehler) and Andy (Chris Pratt) visit Ben (Adam Scott) and April (Aubrey Plaza) at their new jobs in Washington D.C., and Leslie feels overwhelmed by the city -- especially after meeting two of her idols (Senators Barbara Boxer and Olympia Snowe). Meanwhile, Ron (Nick Offerman) throws a "thank you" barbeque for the entire Parks and Recreation staff. Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, Rob Lowe, Jim O'Heir and Retta also star.

I am so fucking excited for this show's return. It is one of the greatest comedies in TV history.

Ron "Bleeping" Swanson is back!

Loved it when he drove off with the grill, with the meat still in it.

Although I must admit that I *literally* got very ill when Leslie referred to Barbara Boxer as one of her idols.

Ron's Permit:

"I can do what I want.....Ron"

Loved it. Ron getting all pissy at the BBQ had me dying. I loved when he got fed up and drove off with the meats still cooking.

Andy was pretty hilarious too while hanging out with Leslie.

Andy on the Washington Monument...."That's a great Penis Leslie"

It was nice to see some of the gang in my neck of the woods. Don't often see sitcoms show up here and not have it be a kid's field trip or something.

I like when Andy threw the book.

"Is this the train from Back to the Future 3?"

Glad it's back! Ron is my hero! HOORAY FOR MEAT! Tom looked delicious in the last scene.

Had a huge grin the whole I was watching this. This is a terrific show.

Ron driving off trailing the smoking barbeque was such a funny visual. I love that they've so far resisted the urge to overuse Ron, he seems to be in the show the perfect amount.

Also, is it just me or does Retta look a lot cuter than she did last year, like she lost a lot of fat in her face?

Great premiere. I was laughing out loud starting with the first scene. Andy was gold and so was Ron Swanson.

Yep, great to have this back. Putting it back to back with The Office just reinforces how unfunny that show has become.

This is still a great show. Andy's Oval Reddenbacher joke at the end was great. Just way too many moments to comment on them all.

So this is where Sinbad lived?

Wonder if John McCain is a fan or friends with Amy since he hosted SNL before?

If you missed the Olympics promo.

Ron seemed a bit grumpier than usual. I thought maybe something was up, but I guess it was just Ron being Ron. Awesome to have this show back!

He was getting a little more agitated than usual but to be fair there was BBQ involved.

It was OK, but the Leslie/Ben stuff really drags the show down.

Just got caught up. Ron and Andy were gold, as usual. Also liked Tom the pig. Great start to the season.
