The Sword - Apocryphon 10/22

Hopefully this album is more in line with the first two rather than their last effort which was a letdown for me.

1- Veil of Isis
2- Cloak of Feathers
3- Arcane Montane
4- The Hidden Masters
5- Dyng Earth
6- Execrator
7- Seven Sisters
8- Hawks and Serpents
9- Eyes of the Stormwitch
10- Apocryphon

I agree. I liked "Arrows in the Dark" off of their last album, the rest of it was inept Deep Purple cover band material, IMO.

I dig the cover art more than the last one. In fact, this might be their best yet.

Looking forward to hearing this. I think they know it needs to top the last one.

Disagree, i liked Warp Riders. This album is right behind Ghost's and Graveyard's new albums as my most anticipated.

Rolling Stone has a stream for one of the tracks off the album.

After 3-4 complete listing, I think it's awesome. It's pretty much in the same vein as their other material but that's fine with me. Love these guys.

I hope it grows on me but I have my doubts, Warp Riders certainly didn't. I'm thinking these guys will never be able to match the epic awesomeness of that first album.

I loved Warp Riders. To be honest though they are one of those bands to me that most songs sound similar, i just really like that one sound. So far it sounds pretty good.

I'm kinda with you here. So far, after a couple spins, I like the new album but it isn't blowing me away by any means. Sounds like more of the same, not much variety in the writing.
