Albums that became one of your favorites after just one listen?
For myself, a lot of albums have to be absorbed through multiple listens before they become favorites. However, some became personal classics after just one listen.
Some for me...
Weezer - The Blue Album
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
What are some of your favorites that only took one listen to know it was a personal classic?

Type O Negative - October Rust
Instantly became one of my top 5 of all-time, and it's still there 16 years later.

Re: Albums that became one of your favorites after just one listen?
I always say I like too much stuff to pick favorites, but to me the best albums are the ones that I love from start to finish the first time through. So with that, my favorite albums (which also fall under the topic here) are:
The Brian Setzer Orchestra: "Guitar Slinger"
The Dave Brubeck Quartet: "Time Further Out"
Oingo Boingo: "Farewell"
James Darren: "This One's From The Heart"

Most recently, the eponymous debut from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.
Although, I had heard two of the songs previously and had just attended a live show.

Re: Albums that became one of your favorites after just one listen?
Metallica - Master of Puppets - literally changed my life on very first listen.
Led Zeppelin - IV - I'd heard a couple songs on the radio so maybe it doesn't count, but somehow never Stairway or When the Levee breaks so that day in 1993 was a revelation.
AC/DC - Back in Black
Opeth - Blackwater Park
