It had a $200 million dollar budget, correct? Why would anybody in their right mind green light that amount of money? Did they really expect to make a profit?

$125 million which is more than Live Free or Die Hard ($110 million) or the first three Underworld films combined. Sony released it in Asian territories day-and-date with the American release, but it's underperforming in those areas as well. So, yeah, I don't know why Sony gave it such a high budget with actors who normally don't headline big budget features.

Amen, and for that reason Total Recall will be getting my blu-ray dollars but not The Bourne Legacy.
