Top Chef Masters -- Season 4 Thread -- Wednesdays (Bravo)

Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" season four is smokin' in Las Vegas with 12 new award-winning chefs hungry to compete for the title and win $100,000 for their charity, premiering Wednesday, July 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. In each episode the winners of every quickfire challenge will be awarded $5,000 while the victors of the elimination challenges will receive $10,000 for their designated charities. Celebrity chef Curtis Stone is back as series host alongside returning judges James Oseland and Ruth Reichl with new judges, food and travel journalist Krista Simmons and features editor of Gilt Taste, Francis Lam. In a dazzling season of high stakes, big egos and sizzling drama, top names in entertainment join the judges table including Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, folk rock music duo Indigo Girls, famed Burlesque performer Dita Von Teese, popular American party band The B-52's, Olympic Gold Medalist Brian Boitano, Las Vegas performer Holly Madison, among others.
Here's the contestants:

Wow, this sure isn't getting any buzz. I've never watched a Masters season before but this round of chefs sure don't seem all that spectacular when removed from their personal restaurants.

Maybe the folks in this forum are burnt out of cooking shows with Food Network Star, MasterChef and Hell's Kitchen all going on simultaneously. Plus Bravo just had the Around the World in 80 plates show recently as well.

I started this thread for anyone who wanted to talk about it, but TC Masters has never been really popular in this forum. I think the one criticism was that none of the chefs competing were really super well known.

I'm still watching, but Masters just doesn't have the same appeal. It looks like the top 3 from this week should be the clear favorites to win, but you never know what will happen if they do more switches like they did the first week.

Didn't know. Hopefully it's on On Demand and I'll watch.

I'm not sure if it's the lack of "star power" chefs or common challenges but it hasn't even felt like a Masters, and barely a Top Chef.

Yeah, I watched it all. Not my favorite season, but there was some good stuff. Chris was in good shape to take it the whole time. I was surprised to see Takashi go so early, I figured those 2 would be in the final.

Lorena drove me insane, I hope Taco Bell stops those commercials with her soon.
