I thought this one would be interesting since the Emma Stone VS Kirsten Dunst poll wasn't a direct comparison (Mary Jane and Gwen were two very different characters in the comics).

I really liked Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen when Spider-Man 3 came out, and I think she's better looking that Emma Stone - but which one is the better Gwen Stacy?

I vote for Emma Stone (in both looks and performance). But, in all fairness, Bryce Dallas Howard was underused in Spider-Man 3.

I think the Stacy father and Daughter were underused. I dod love Cromewell as Capt. Stacy. Howard was a a good Stacy too...it's just the script that failed her. Not too mention having to share time w/ MJ too. The film failed the characters' use.

ASM has Stacy in mind. Emma Stone has it. I would've loved to have seen more of Howard as an adult Stacy. Damn you, SM3. It even had a much better color palette than the ones before too!

While I really thought that Gwen was underused in SM3, I still thought that Bryce Dallas Howard NAILED the part anyway. She looked the part and sounded the part. She's exactly what I always imagined a real life Gwen Stacy to be back when I read comic books.

Emma Stone is really good, but there is something about her that I didn't like (like a slight lisp or big front teeth or something). Her performance, though, was one of the highlights of ASM. I would have been interested in that girl myself back in high school or college. She did a good job of creating a more well rounded character than Bryce Dallas Howard was allowed to in her limited time in SM3.

The one scene, though, where I really thought BDH shined in SM3 was the Jazz club scene. Her reaction at the end of Peter's, "Performance," was excellent - I totally bought into the emotion of her reaction. Too bad they didn't go further with that as the movie went on. Unfortunately, the script for SM3 was a bit of a mess (all over the place since there were too many characters and too much going on - some of which should never have been in the script in the first place).

I just think that Bryce Dallas Howard was one of the better things about SM3. More of her would have been good for the movie.

Tarantino, through all the discussion on ASM there was very little about BDH and her performance as Gwen Stacy in SM3, the character that most are considering the highlight of ASM. I thought that was worth focusing on rather than having 3 or 4 comments that get lost in a 17 page thread.

I dug Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy when SM3 first came out - and I still think she was perfectly cast in the role.
