B & N B2G1 on Criterions and others
Barnes and Noble is having a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" sale on lots of titles, including what looks like the entire Criterion Collection. This may actually come out a little cheaper than the 50% off sale for certain titles--for instance, they've got The Gold Rush, Shallow Grave, and The 39 Steps priced at $21.74 each, with a MSRP of $29.99 each. So, you could get all three for $43.48, or around $14.50 per disc. Not a big savings, but a savings nonetheless. If you get the same titles on Blu ($27.99 each, with a MSRP of $39.99), they'd end up around $18.66 each, which is a $1.33 savings per disc off of the 50% off sale price.
Just thought that I'd point it out, in case some of the CC discs you're looking for are at pretty good prices. Here's the link:

Went ahead and ordered those three on Blu. I was planning on waiting for the 50% off sale, but I might as well get them for a little cheaper while I can...

Thanks OP. I'll bite on those three titles in Blu. When the 50% sale does roll around, I may only need the Samurai Trilogy. Already have Lean Directs Coward and Harold & Maude.

It is normally the second week in July, but as reported above and elsewhere, there are doubts. It would seem to me that a B2G1 sale during the first week in July would portend NoGoBOGO so soon thereafter.....

If I remember correctly either the last November sale or the last July sale had a similar situation, and there was even a possibility of a 3 hour overlap between the two, but that never happened.

DEFINATELY not worth it for the Criterion titles I was looking to get!!! Most $39.99 list discs are priced at $38.00 and change! 3% off...Big woop! I'll wait to see if they have the 50% off sale nexrt week or do what I have been doing and buying used Criterion titles off Amazon for half ,or less than half off original list price. My experience has been that folks do value their Criterion titles as EVERY one I have recieved has been in like new condition! Very pleased with that-

Tell me about it. This was one of the titles I was waiting for the 50% off sale for (fingers crossed that it's still going on).

I have it but that's because I decided the initial Amazon pre-order price was worth it. Plus I have already watched it, so it was worth not waiting the sale.
