Futurama - one hour season premiere - "The Bots and the Bees" 6/20/12

Did a search and did not see a thread yet. The new season of Futurama starts tonight with a double episode.

Episode 701 and 702 - The Bots and the Bees / A Farewell to Arms
episode description
Spoiler:
In this one-hour World Premiere of Futurama, Bender fathers a child with the office soda machine, and an ancient prophecy predicts the world will end in the year 3012.

Unlike the other resurrected Fox animation show, I think Futurama has barely dwindled in quality since it's return and these seasons are always too short.

I was slightly disappointed. The plots seemed a little more "cartoony" (I know it is a cartoon) without any resolution.

A little surprised there aren't more replies. Most people here enjoy Futurama.

Thought both episodes were great... Rewatched both today with some friends and everyone was laughing repeatedly.

I think they're just going for broke more than before - Futurama can get away with that over the top silliness better than Simpsons can.

I only saw the first episode so far, but I loved it. So many good lines and outright craziness. I especially enjoyed the "Not sure if new episode or a repeat I watched drunk" bottom line at the show opening making fun of the "Not sure if serious" meme.

We enjoyed both episodes. Even when Futurama is mediocre, it still gives a few chuckles.

I was impressed that they came up with a somewhat reasonable explanation as to how two robots could have a child.

Yes, that surprised me. I fully expected them to to just run with the joke and never explain anything.

Yeah, I bought it. Upload code from both bots, take a few parts from each bot....bing, bang, boom...you got a baby robot. Now, how the bot "grows" is another question.

So great to still be getting new episodes!
