Synopsis:

FEMME FATALES SECOND SEASON – The anthology series Femme Fatales returns to Cinemax this May with 12 new episodes. The second season kicks off Friday, May 25th at 11 PM with the first episode “16 Minutes of Fame.” The episode is a sly murder mystery and satire on today’s popular reality series like Jersey Shore and Big Brother.

The sexy, thrilling anthology series is about powerful, sexy and dangerous women styled in the tradition of pulp stories, film noir and graphic novels. The half-hour program features stories inspired by such noir classic as Double Indemnity and Pulp Fiction and classic thriller TV series like The Twilight Zone. In each stand-alone episode, which is part of a bigger interweaving mythology, women find extraordinary ways of coping with their problems, channeling their survival instincts and bringing out their inner guile. The series was recently honored as an Official Selection of the prestigious Sitges Film Festival in Spain which screened seven episodes from the series first season.

Notable guest stars in the series include Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill, Independence Day), Jeff Fahey (Lost, Grindhouse), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Antonio Sabato, Jr. (General Hospital, Bones), Kyle Gass (Tenacious D), Steve Railsback (The Stunt Man, Lifeforce), Leilani Sarelle (Basic Instinct), Robert LaSardo (Nip/Tuck, Death Race), Reggie Hayes (Girlfriends), Paul Rae (True Grit), Dean Haglund (The X-Files, The Lone Gunmen), Charlie O’Connell (Crossing Jordan), Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager) , Nikki Griffin (Fast & The Furious III) and legendary film director and Oscar® nominee Paul Mazursky.

Has anyone here watched this series? Season 2 premiered on Friday. It's a mix of softcore porn and a suspense anthology series like The Outer Limits and the old Showtime series The Hunger. They actually use alot of well known B-list actors.

The girl who is the host, Tanit Phoenix, is smoking hot.

Here's a little profile of her:

I know not many people here subscribe to Cinemax, but it's a pretty fun series. I've seen 8 of the 12 episodes from season 1 on MaxGo.com and most of them have been pretty entertaining. Gorgeous women in each episodes.

The episode that aired on Friday called "16 Minutes of Fame" was pretty bad though (acting and story) even though the 2 lead girls were pretty hot.

It is a soft core show. It just has loftier goals and better guest stars. Somehow, this one actually gets semi mainstream celebs.
